Murder counts

Good day!

After having seen this happen on a few occasions, it got me wondering...

What's up with counting people for murders? Every time I get ganked by a combination of blues and reds, the only players I can count are the reds.
When did this change? Or am I missin something?!

Maybe you could provide more details. How often has this been happening?

Tbh, I have not a clue. Didn't think much of it until last night.

So pretty much all I can tell you has been said.
-I am on a blue naturally
-Am attacked by one or more reds and one or more blues
-When I die, the murder count window pops up only for the red(s)
-It has happened more then once

That's about all the info I can give

If the reds attack you, but you damage the blues before they damage you, the game considers you the aggressor to the blues since you attacked them 1st.

Maleachi is well aware of the flagging rules, god knows he has died enough times . Maleachi are you sure you're being attacked by the blues and the blues are not just supporting the reds with healing and blocking?

That was my thoughts too, also if you went grey on the way, maybe from hitting just one blue, the blue would be free to attack you without risk for counts.

You may need to save your journal and then look who attacked who first.

Who is winker on europa pvp wise I only see him afk at Luna , also I think it's bugged kinda like the faction deaths when blues attack factions and someone from another faction does dmg they go stat.

Edit: A blue can put a factioneer into stat on his own without another factioneer being involved. I am unable to discuse it here on stratics, but if you want to get your TB factioneer out i can show you

Would have to be correct unless of course there's a bug with the murder-counting system...

Obviously, if he were to go grey (criminal), he wouldn't be-able to hand out murder counts to the reds either now would he?

No he would not be able to if he were grey, but I think he is staying blue and i think he may be seeing the blues go grey for helping there red friends with the odd heal here and there

-Blues flag me, not the other way around (they go grey and not just cause of the odd heal).
-Reds flag me as well of course, otherwise I'd not be able to count them.

Honestly, I don't care too much about giving people counts, but I find it annoying that I do not have the option to count people when they gank me on their blues.
Mainly cause the people I speak of are usually found ganking people from their guardzone.

I wonder, how much damage did they actually do to you and how much did you heal? If you healed all the damage they did to you perhaps that's why.

It has always been weird with ganks I've had 6-7 reds drop on me and only been able to count 3-4 it happens but 1 on 1 you'll never get an option not to count..unless your are the aggressor

You 100% sure the blue did flag on you and not from healing the reds?.
If you thought they was grey from attacking you and then attack them, they are free to kill you without counts.

Yup this is correct, if you heal back to full health you cant count them, unless they do more dammage. So if they charge in do some dammage and flag on you. You then run off and heal back to 100% health, come back into the fight and the reds kill you, then you wont be able to count the blues as they have flaged on you but done 0 dammage

As winker stated above, once you heal, you can't count them. Just like how a blue can spam Paralyze on you and not get counted since they did no actual damage. The only way to count someone is if they are part of the damage that eventually you die to, so long as you never fully heal.

Like I said before... I am aware of the PvP ruleset. So not going to repeat myself again.

And about being damaged and healing up... The last incident involved 1 red and 3 blues.
It might sound cocky, but I don't get killed by 1 red.

Hate to sound cocky but you deid to me when i was on one red, despise island when i was on Draco. You and me it was 1v1. Only other player there was Crim and he was on a blue doing the champ.

Must have been what? A year ago? Can't even remember seeing you pvp on Europa.

Just because I deleted Draco and used a few name change tokens doesn't mean im not PvPing anymore. It just means I disassociated myself with Mangus and started afresh. I want to PvP without the toilet talking on General chat. While Magnus liked to smack talk everyone in General chat, I don't get any of that crudge now that I changed my characters names and made new ones.


But to be fair since the faction nerf, I have not PvPed as much as I used to. I closed 2 of my PvP accounts down. But I still have 2 active accounts. Just because you see me sitting at Europa Luna Bank does not mean im not PvPing on my other account either on Europa or Atlantic.
