Demolition Pending, are these GM controled falls?

I've seen a couple houses go demo pending and the worn title disapears, my question is, do these get taken down by a GM or what? Seems questionable that a GM can control the fall of a house and all its contents. A loaded castle fell today on eurupa that has been pending for a week while others still remain up for alot longer than that.

My limited understanding is that a house will go "owned by OSI" and say demo pending when it has vendors in it. The house should then start to decay once again and fall in a little under a week. If the house doesn't fall that first week they seem to just keep refreshing and decaying every week until all the vendors run out of gold or a GM takes action. If it is a castle, keep, luna house or something that makes a house special then GMs seem to take notice and make them fall.

well take the Great lakes luna ones that are OSI atm but are still actually decaying, thse house im talking about stop the information about dcaying, they only say demo pending, owned by OSI and type of home.
So im wondering if it is actually decaying or is it just waiting for a GM to see it as part of his duties, or get called by someone and they will delete it for the person, or something else?

To my knowledge they are not waiting for a gm to do anything. They are waiting for the vendor rentals to expire. Then one week after giving the vendor owner time to collect from the sign the house will collapse. Once a house becomes owned by OSI it can fall in any decay stage. It all depends if the rental contract was set for a week or month, etc.

This is how I understand it to work.

GMs do not (and cannot) drop houses. From my understanding, they cannot change or alter these aspects of the game.

When Messana 1st had us report the unnamed houses, I called a GM on a castle on baja and he dropped it right then (all items vanished also) and I placed. So I think they do have that power or at least did about 2 yrs ago.

Hmm, perhaps my understanding was inaccurate. I had thought that only developers could mess with the houses.

Was this the one in the swamp?

Yeah annoying this one. The first time it went OSI the time was 5:34pm (my time). I've been keeping my eye on it for days hoping it might actually drop. I was then on Atlantic explaining to some friends about what happened. They told me if a plot turns to OSI then I should inform a GM who will look into it. I called up a GM who said thanks for informing them about the OSI plot and they will investigate. Since then I have daily been checking it to see when it will fall. Looks like a GM MAYBE can do something to asssit with the drop, or maybe Mesanna came and did it? Logged in today and newly placed castle.

If all items vanished, it meant that it was on a list of known duper houses, and it probably got dropped personally by the Devs or Lead GM at the time. Only houses with known large quantities of items acquired through cheating get deleted, instead of dropped.

OBO houses don't drop in a week, they drop after the rented vendor contracts are up and they've had enough time to retrieve their stuff which can be over a month (if the house would have dropped just after the new contract month started).

A very few OBO houses do not show a decay status at all, these are probably flagged ones for them to go through and delete items.

Not to be confused with the ownerless ones that were confiscated from banned players.

Or the ones confiscated with a generic OSI owner listed.

Ahhhhh just down my street........

I was on the understanding The osi ones that ''lose'' there decay tag were under investigation...and could be dropped at any time and all the stuff inside is deleted............However iam told this ''had loot'' all fallen under the sign in a heap and everything dropped with it in the one spot heap...which kinda indicates the GM didnt do it correctly or the rules are changed or different now..???

Ya, this was the the type I was questioning, Ive done enough idocs to know how a normal OSI with vendors works when it keeps a decaying stage, but the ones that stop decaying seem to break those rules and I was just looking for some info, more from messana and GM types that have the actual info of why? Is there a questionable item or does something else happen. I was at a keep on baja about a yr ago that had vendors and went OSI, then the owner showed up and messana showed up also, She said the house would not be falling and the person had 1 week to get thier acct details straitened out or she would drop it at the end of that period (was around the same time as the new acct crap that happened). I logged off for work or something, later that day I log in and the keep had been replaced new owner with the trash outside. Just was pretty random. I preffer when the system is in charge :)

And yes these OSI non decay have been dropped leaving items.
