Bonnie, the Great Lakes players would like one free month of game time. Thank you.Good Evening Everyone,
As I am sure you are aware by now that we are having a few issues with Great Lakes. I am very sorry to have to say to fix the problem we are having to revert to 6 pm EST.

Speak for yourself. Two hours, while inconvenient, is hardly the end of the world. I'm simply glad it's back with a short revert. Could have been much, much worse.Bonnie, the Great Lakes players would like one free month of game time. Thank you.
But it was almost 9pm Eastern when Mesanna posted, and they reverted to 6pm Eastern! That's 3 hours!Speak for yourself. Two hours, while inconvenient, is hardly the end of the world. I'm simply glad it's back with a short revert. Could have been much, much worse.
By the evidence they are giving us you need to ask? <rolls eyes>I don't play GL but in all seriousness..what's up with the reverts did they really mess up or downgrade their server/hosts that much?
Well, if you ask me, all of these IDOCs are creating massive memory holes, and/or serious stress due to the extreme number loot scripting going on (and before anyone bothers to say they don't exist, consider yourself a flat earther and join the 21st century). The server has been having multiple bouts of server-line issues, and what's not merely coincidence is that these bouts of recall and server-crossing lag happen at the precise moments that major things fall. Most of the time, the server recovers just fine and moves along, and you recall or cross seconds later. This particular time, the server couldn't take it, and crashed.I don't play GL but in all seriousness..what's up with the reverts did they really mess up or downgrade their server/hosts that much?
We got a t-shirt to commemorate it.
"the number and severity of reverts we have been experiencing lately is far better and far more acceptable than when the game began"Well, if you ask me, all of these IDOCs are creating massive memory holes, and/or serious stress due to the extreme number loot scripting going on (and before anyone bothers to say they don't exist, consider yourself a flat earther and join the 21st century). I mean, in the grand scheme of things, the number and severity of reverts we have been experiencing lately is far better and far more acceptable than when the game began, and are few and far between. The memory of Atlantic will stick with us for sometime because it was such a massive and extensive revert, but other than Origin's occasional reverts, they don't really happen all that often anymore. The last serious one on Great Lakes that I'm aware of was in 2009, and involved some serious issues in Luna. We got a t-shirt to commemorate it.
Because with all the improvements in everything my computer at home still locks up and crashes, my phone locks up and crashes, peoples tablets crash, etc..... ect.... ect..... I could go on but it happens...... deal with it."the number and severity of reverts we have been experiencing lately is far better and far more acceptable than when the game began"
*caugh*
errm.. 15 LONG YEARS ago...
*caughs some more*
Still trying to wrap my head around what is so "acceptable" with an issue that is over a decade old when technology has gone how far since then? But ok lol, not going to argue.
Okay, welcome to the internet. NOTHING, not even Google, is immune to occasional crashes. Sometimes something goes wrong.Still trying to wrap my head around what is so "acceptable" with an issue that is over a decade old when technology has gone how far since then? But ok lol, not going to argue.
