Ok I'm sure this has been asked millions of time but for some reason search on tapatalk just isn't functioning properly so here goes..

What is the best range of luck to use in first/second level shame?

I've been dabbling in working troll guardians and clay golems with 0 luck and I haven't been getting any awesome loot, I have got some decent stuff nothing spectacular. Now it's a spell weave/myst/Mage not sure if I can hit up cove and honestly not a very good PVMer..so I'm trying to get some insight on what my suit should look like..

What I currently am wearing

Kasa - 12 sdi
Jewls- 24 sdi
Talisman - 5 sdi
Midnight bracers -10 sdi

Those I'm prob keeping and trying to upgrade to 18 sdi jewls or should I use etoile set for the luck..

Haha I hear ya there...but seriously I know there's no rhyme or reason for luck but based on how it's supposed to work do you think 1000-2000 would be sufficient?

Isn't SDI capped at 30 if you have 30 skill or more in a second spell casting skill?

Not sure exactly what you're trying to get with the luck, just interesting items to use in other aspect of play? Or relic frags and other imbuing goodies? If you're going for relic frag goodness, get yourself 2 extra pouches and put them in your back pack, and got to 2nd floor shame and kill the elies (I think they are earth elies it's been awhile) with 140 luck on your suit. I used a conj garb and I was pulling up enough relic frags and magical essence tier items to sit pretty for awhile after just a few hours of farming. I was using the 140 off a conjurer's garb. I was midway through making a spreadsheet when I got so bored with the game, I just logged out, and never logged back in.. unsubbed, and haven't thought of any real reason to log back in. Luckily I've avoided some rather shady happenings in my absence.

The reason for the 2 extra pouches though, toss all the stuff you're gonna unravel inone pouch, and in the event you find some beautiful no negatives splintering weapon from hell or clean ssi jewels or whatever interests you in the other bag.

There is no SDI cap for PVM, just PVP. Slayer spellbooks would be ineffective if there was a PVM SDI cap, since they add SDI for that slayer group.

I run a cobbled together 1600 luck/lrc suit for shame and lev 3 cov. I actually run two chars at times and have tested between them out of group killing solo with different luck suits. My other char runs just under 1k and I see a difference in mods and amounts. Right now as I went from 1400 to 1600 on my main char I can see some improvement in drop quality.

Some may say I`m crazy but this is how I know. I am raising an imbuer to 120 solely by unraveling. Atm I am 104.7. Everyday that I`m able to play,I camp cov 3 entrance area until I fill 6 boxes full of loot. I use pinco`s and the EC so I just auto loot it all and usually before my luck statue buff wears off (incidentally that brings me to 1990 luck) my chests are full. Than I jump on my imbuer and check each peice in a chest, usuallu 70-80 items per(cuz ya never know.... if ya don`t look thru it,you might have just unraveled those 100 mill leggins!) to make sure nothing of huge rarity is in there, than unravel container. So my imbuers hunger for fresh items and high quality items mind you(since its not the normal stuff that will give imbue gains).... relic frags stuff..... keep me farmin and keep me improving my suit when i can. When I started on this venture,my luck suit was around 1100`ish,since than I got lucky and bought a mempo, sandals and some other stuff to get it to 1600. With ALLLLLLLLLL This stuff I have picked thru and thru many stages of luck I have come to the conclusion that luck is very important in any of the revamped dungeons and if ya do one thing long enough, you`ll see that it does make a difference.

What has the SDI got to do with luck in shame, lol?

I would try the unbound energy vortex for better loot in shame. I was farming the clay golems at the end of level 2 for a few weeks. I got some nice SSI jewels but no real uber loot that you can get from the vortex's.

Out of curiosity, do you feel Shame yields better stuff than Covetous? I toyed around on the dungeon levels in Covetous some after they revamped that along with numerous Cora stompings, but felt Shame was a little more cozy and less tooth grinding and I got about the same intensity things off easier mobs.

Paragon speed liches, insta on ya butt revenant thingies, mega mean wyvern looking things vs clay golems and revamped evil mages and blood eles. I solo on my straight mage in revamped shame with extreme prejudice, I get omgwtfpwnt in Coventous on the same character. Though my tamer can usually flatten the place, although takes like 4 -5 times as long. Honestly I wish they'd consider spreading the loot changes to the Ilshenar dungeons.. It would bring back life to the old Balron spot and blood ele side wings. I remember that place was hoppin. I found a short spear on a blood ele I gave a friend of mine and he took it home and enhanced it with verite for whatever reason and it didn't break and he used that thing for like a solid year. Man I miss that dungeon.

Sdi has nothing to do with luck but I did ask what would be good for a suit as well since I did say I'm not a very good pvmer but none the less..

Oh I see. Well if you want to add SDI I use the following arties on my PVM mage:

Treasures and trinket reading glasses - 10 sdi
2x crafted jewels with 12 sdi on each (24 total)
Protector of the battle mage - 5 sdi
Kelp leggings - 8 sdi

These liches, revenants and wyvers are REALLY easy... You just have to provoke them on each other and watch... smoke a cigarette, go for a walk, grab some drinks... IMHO much easier than Shame...

It ALL depends on the template. To me, Shame is much more work...

Your findings would suggest that luck is "working." The problem is in determining what the OP wants to get out of his loot. If they want loot that will unravel to relic frags, you would want to get your luck as high as possible to improve the chances at higher intensity / higher mod items. If you want usable items, you may want to keep your luck below a threshold that causes it to bump up the number of properties (or intensities?) as the more of those you get, the higher your chances of cannot be repaired / cursed. Note that I don't really consider brittle to be a detriment overall as if you are looting jewelry you are in most cases planning to imbue extra mods to round out the piece.

I've farmed shame with both luck and without yet neither has really shown a better chance of getting a clean usable item. The biggest factor is time more than anything. Unraveling for relics doesn't need luck but more so you just need to farm the higher end critters thus getting the higher end loot. For the lower mod stuff you just need to farm the "easier" stuff and roll through the RNG.

IMO if you are looking for the best bang for buck the last vortex in Fel after all the blood ele's is the place to be but it's annoying to get in to. I've yoinked some amazing stuff there but I'm still looking for that winner.

You may as well run with the best equipment you can use to kill the fastest, luck is secondary. It's all about the grind unfortunately....

I'd second Silent's thoughts. When I am doing tram I like to run in all three of my accounts with a Samp for the tank, a bard tamer or bard samp for disco and a new chiv thrower I just finished making thus clearing out the Vortex guys fairly fast. It's just numbers sadly.

I personally won`t even step foot in a revamped dungeon unless I have some degree of luck. Regardless of why your there,if you care at all about the drop quality you get, you`ll wear luck, end of story.

To suggest you`ll get the same items without luck compared to with luck is straight up wrong. In these revamped dungeons luck is not secondary. Regardless of your reason of being there, items to unravel, relics or the rare drop/ring that you could get....... you are only shootin yourself in the foot by not wearing as much luck as possible. I agree with silent to a degree: "You may as well run with the best equipment you can use to kill the fastest(that I agree with)....... with as much luck as you can carry and LRC is secondary"(this is more true IMO). It's all about the grind unfortunately...." I do agree its all a grind.

I have gotten ALOT more clean stuff and usable items with luck than without.

I guess its up to you how you waste your time.
