ok, so what's the deal with the giant lag spikes on Catskills
and Pacific.

It's not just Catskills, and it's definitely UO hon.
I was experiencing lag on GW2 tonight. I say about 30 minutes total. Which is odd. I am running TS, GW2, guild page, and twitter at the same time like I always do and it's really rare for me to lag. So this 30 minutes of constant lag and some guild mates I was running with was also experiencing. We all just figured it was the area so 2 went to different lands in the game and had the same issue testing it out.
I read this here and I think its the internet lol. Maybe because it was hunmpday just more people on
Now our issue was 30 minutes only.Only other thing I can think of twas Beibster must of been tweeting on the internet and all his fans casued the internet to lag all together. lol I heard he got a new tattoo. Gah I need to get a life
I figure there is a bad hop from the EA servers or this upgrading they are doing to the servers is causing it all.

Someone said it seems worse at night. I can't comment on that because I rarely play during the day. I will say I logged on for a few minutes tonight and there were lag spikes that lasted a full minute (we actually thought the shard might have crashed). It's effecting everyone because when you're PvPing you can tell when it's only you (ie: you wake up dead)

I play most mornings on Cats and can confirm that lag freezes have been occurring in the morning this past week. I don't know if they are 'worse' at night (yesterday evening was quite disrupting), but they are certainly 'most annoying' during level 4 of a champ spawnSomeone said it seems worse at night. I suspect it's more likely to be related to the apparent moving of servers to IP addresses that indicate they are now part of the Amazon 'cloud services'.

It's not so bad on chessy but it is still obvious..ATL is just down right bad I live in CT..never had a real issue with lag up until past few months ATL seems almost unplayable at times and I just say screw it and go back to chessy which isn't much better but not half as bad due to a third of the population

The lock-ups I am talking about are where everything locks up. Monsters, other people, everything. So it's not the same as when you lock up and then unfreeze and you're dead. When you unfreeze in these instances you will pick up exactly where (in time) you locked up. Nothing kills you while you are locked up because everything else is locked up too.
You and me both brother.I thought it was just me, on Pac. I have had a few lag spikes so bad, I "unfroze" and was instantly dead.
I froze several times last night and was disconnected twice, which I can't even remember the last time that happened.
You know in today's world of a million gaming options, stupid things like this are going to be yet another nail in the coffin. Most of us left know that we're not getting a ton of expansions and "real" bug fixes, etc ..... but when we can't even play the game due to giant horrible lag.... well what's the point?
Its definitely UO. Every guild I play with all of us freeze up for 3-5 seconds, completely, and at the same time. Too large of a geological footprint to be related to our connections. Most of the time the people I'm fighting do too. Only sucks when you're fighting a thrower or archer.
The last thing we need is more empty areas.
Can we get someone in here that might be able to shed some light on this issue? I've been experiencing constant lag and freezing as well.
Is a hardware upgrade in the works?
Is this a slow but sure way of saying that UO will be shut down soon?
If it's neither of the two questions above then can somebody please give us an update on what you think might be causing it or when there might be a fix for this issue?

I get huge lag spikes to my local shards Euro and Dracs. I expect the lag when I venture onto atlantic, but I get the same hits on these shards.
