Bigger Bank Check Size - Has this been asked yet?

Can we get bank checks to total more than 1 million gold please? Maybe set the limit to 10 million, or no limit (example: 100 million or 500 million)??

The most gold ive ever had was 10 million; from crazy hours of farming gold. Would be nice to have all that in one check to save room in my bank box.

Obviously you don't have a Debit Card! = P

If I bring in $2000 in CASH to the bank they don't turn around and magically cram all that physical cash into my little plastic Debit Card. Anyway... seems like you would bring your gold to the bank & once in your bank box it PHYSICALLY ceases to exist & you instead work with an account wide non-physical money system. I imagine the ability to withdraw actual gold if you want it will be there as well.

you won't beable to make checks with gold anymore after they implement the new system (not sure exactly when it's being done) but the Dev team has stated that they're going to tie gold to your characters. so I'm assuming it's going to be like a box on your paper-doll or backpack, that would display a number (your gold), and you would beable to just type in an amount you wish to trade to another player, and it would withdraw the amount of gold npc purchases would take as well.

They'll happen, Mesanna went in a bit of 'detail' about it on Atlantic at moonglow inn last week, when she was talking to us about the holiday contest and all of that.

basically the only things that are going to change, is you won't be able to make checks anymore. since the gold will be tied to your character After you deposit it into the bank (gold coins & Piles of gold will still exist) Gold will no longer be a physical item once it's dropped or sent to your bank via bag of sending.

This is just what's been talked about recently/currently, and is also subject to change, only time will tell.

Gold will become a stat, never heard anyone complaining that their Hit Chance or Mana Regen was too heavy...so I doubt it will weigh anything either.

yes, now that Sosaria Bank and Trust is doing away with free checking, can we now earn interest on our deposits? I would also like to see a few other services available such as CD's, Bonds, and low interest business loans. Perhaps a free heating stand for opening new accounts as well.

That would be bad, how would one char transfer money to the other char on the same account? Currently simply dropping some checks into a box in house or in wilderness ...

The way it was explained by CovenantX I think they are doing what most modern MMO's do now with gold and coins.


You can earn gold on any character but its like in your back pack but not as a virtual item. It be more of a number in the corner of your backpack saying like you have 50, ooo gold. You can deposit any amount of the gold into the bank and it will show the actual amount deposited. Then you can take out what you need out of the bank for any character.

If it be bigger cheques or some kind of credit based system. This really needs to be addressed soon. I hope that this will also mean larger amounts can be traded for items etc. It would allow far easier house trades for example if you can just "wire" a player whatever amount you want rather than having to rely on a 3rd party to oversea the whole transactions.

Since Mythic runs DaoC and Warhammer Online with simlar backpack I assume they will use some of the same system for UO. Now they would have to develop a way for both the classic client and the EC client for UO.

That's one of the details that wasn't talked about, unfortunately. although I would assume since gold is going to be weightless once you put in in the bank it becomes a stat basically. I guess that would mean you could xfer as much gold as you want, with one token (assuming there's no limit on gold capacity) as far as transferring gold between characters on the same account I have no clue.

You can do the same thing I do on every shard without a house:
Create a trial account, fire up a second client and do a secure trade. The account lasts for 14 days and when it's over you can create a new one with the click of a button...

Gold will remain as item, so you could also withdraw a pile of gold from your bank, drop it on the floor and do it the unsecure way...
