Do what I do, play multiple shards and when one goes down go play another! 
Lag? Everyone keeps talking about lag and spikes lately, i play from the UK and i have no lag no lag spikes at all on Atl. Atl is even less laggy for me than europa is. Europa is ment to be close were Atlantic is across the well.. Atlantic

I did honestly recognize more lag on Atlantic the last days too since i moved a char there and placed a house...
But i also have this lag on Pacific my main shard i spend 85% of my time...
No lag on Europa if i rarely log on there for a 30 mins hunt...
I play from Central Europe so the lag on the US shards wouldnt surprise me - but it is more lag on both shards i am used to have - started around Atlantic's revert...

It would be nice if when a shard crashes that there would be some word within 1/2 hour on UO.com at least acknowledging that they know something is amiss.
When a shard is down this long, the question isn't will there be a revert but how long a revert will it be.
Getting to be quite habitual in nature as of late. I hope this maintenance resolves issues and doesn't create any new ones.

That's it, next time they spill coffee on a machine somebody needs to be stuck outside Fel Yew gate with no weapon and force to wear a sign that says PK's are Stewpid.. and if they die, the person who killed them gets their job for a week. Meow.

I haven't played UO in a couple months, and usually every few months i'll pop in and see if it'll draw me back, but I've not gotten any of those withdrawal feelings this time.. and not looking like I'll be too happy if i do come back. Seeing that UO is giving free time away for their last revert wasn't looking like a good thing because a massive chunk of people that play play alot on Atlantic (my shard of choice) and if they are planning on giving more free time away not looking like a good way to start the year. EA needs to stop thinking UO needs to be on life support, and treat it like a serious franchise. The Ultima Games are legendary, they set some of the most early blocks in the foundation of what role-playing video games should be, and they almost always carried a deeper meaning and reason.. They were designed for personal reflection, they provided a deep enriching experience if you cared to try to follow the path of the avatar and they were just nuts! Talking mice, Lord British liking Alice in Wonderland, Tie fighter space battles in the first one, snake people, lizard men Dragons, Minax being in love with Mondain's funky booty (Yicky). EA executive.. if you stepped into the light of the avatar, you would be melted away in it's glory.. in it's virtue.. in it's mercy. You have a long arduous path to achieve enlightenment and you can start by giving the UO team the stuff it needs to upgrade it's servers, graphics, and a proper art department and Q&A team. Stop letting this classic piece of gaming history become a sullied and tarnished piece of trash we can't tolerate any more. And furthermore, cinnamon rolls. I don't know what bothers me more. Atlantic crashing and being down for over an hour or Atlantic being down for over an hour and EA not even bothering to post that they know the shard is down and they are working n it.
Never mind. It is back up with only a few minute revert.
It's back - any revert appears very minor. I'm where I was when it went down.

That's a rather humanitarian way of thinking, and if this were a just happened this one time only recently and for a few minutes kinda thing pretty sure this thread wouldn't have popped up. Nah, could not care less about them in all honesty. I only think/worry about me, my family, our friends and what confronts that group specifically. This whole "let's think about others all the time, and those less fortunate" movement needs to go away... Can't wait for it to pass. Those "less fortunate" need to get off their bums and be a little more fortunate, THAT would alleviate the problem entirely.
I used to like when Origin still ran things that they had a page on the UO Site called something like Shard Issues. Usually within 5-10 minutes, they would post is a Shard was Down or having issues and about how long it would be offline. Then they would post when it was back up so you didn't have to keep logging in and out hoping that your Shard would finally show back up. And it was great to know someone was watching things and that not everyone had gone home for the day.
