Yes I am..and I talked to a few others that are too.
Freezing up, coming back in a few seconds sometimes. Other times
I am frozen and have to close down and relog to get it to run.
Course the monsters don't lag!

cotton and i are in the same guild on atl. time doesnt matter. we are always in a pvp environment. i play mostly 8-11 pm.

Bleak, time does not matter, it's consistent throughout the day. The spikes can be short and long, and are not location dependent. The long spikes can be quite deadly in the right circumstances.

Many of us are truly worried by them, as they preceded the revert last time. Please reassure us that it will not happen again, I doubt you will find the response agreeable.

I am not sure if it is the only issue - but something seems to be lagging on the client side... there are times when I am dragging my courser across the screen and suddenly it locks up and movement stops for a moment.

It could be client side- I play side by side with my wife and when we are in the same area, the lag spike hits usually at the same time, but not always (we do champ spawns together)- when we are in separate areas, when one gets a lag spike, the other doesn't. The lag is up to 10+ seconds.

I know many in my group play the Enhanced Client (with and without Pinco's) and we are all seeing the lag. The one left playing the Classic Client hasn't been seeing a problem. Is anyone on the classic client seeing the lag spikes?

Interesting... probably not so much of a client side issue then. I've been watching other shards for similar comments and have not seen any. I guess if anyone can get a traceroute (preferably while the lag spike hits) it would help.

I don't think that is it, because I'll get a lag spike and my wife won't. Sounds like a client or server issue.

It seems to happen all day. More at night (during what I'd assume is heavier load). I play mostly in fel so could be facet related. It defiantly happens more around the yew moongate, then it does in say dungeons. But I've had it happen everywhere. Despse, Destard, T2A... Seems to be roughly every 20-30minutes like clock work. I'll try and pay attention and write down the times and PM you the times I feel or see it. That way you can check your error logs to see if something is occurring at those times.
I play on the classic client. Can't stand the look of the new one...

I have been having major lag spikes the past couple of days. today 12/30 @ 9:00 EST had to stop playing. Happened several times earlier as well as a couple of days ago i could not play at all.

Since I read that post, and til now (when I logged) this is the lag spikes and time, and location:

12/30/2012 (all times are EST, and on CLASSIC client)
8:45pm - East of Skara Brae
9:03pm - Login Server - hanged on connecting as switching chars
9:34pm - Hythloth Dungeon
10:05pm - Hythloth Dungeon
10:35pm - Outside Hythloth Dungeon
All of these are in FEL.

They all last i'd say between 6-10 seconds. Doesn't seem like much but if your in combat against a thrower or an archer, their weapon continues to throw.... so when everyone recovers from lag, good chance someone is just going to drop... funny until it happens to you lol.

I play classic client-the spikes I fear I have come to live with- The most annoying part of the spikes for me is placing items in my backpack or chests
I play Atlantic- I play all facets-pretty much covered every area of the game over the weekend due to searching for idocs- there doesnt seem to be specific areas or times- and like a previous statement it also happens when logging on- there are spikes-then longer freezes and crashes

can confirm i see this as well, it seems to tend to happen to everyone around me when it happens. it'll be some big fight, i'll lock up for 5s or so expecting to be dead, and everyone seems to start moving again at roughly the same time.

Playing Atlantic, time doesn't matter, but is very intermittent.

It happens alone, in my house in Fel, very low graphic area. I play mostly on classic, but it happens on EC as well. It's not location or load specific, and it's random enough that getting a good trace log is near impossible. I guess I can sit logged in and run it over and over till I hit the spike. I don't remember this specific issue happening before the move to Amazon, and the hardware upgrade.

As you can see, it hit a +200 ping time just before the host server then came back down, and the unknown server is gone. this was around 11pm on new years eve..

oh yeah, that spike hurt that one dumped me off of the shard, and i instantly ran the trace route at 12:44AM january 1st

I use Clasic mostly and I get it too. Feels just like the old lag spikes we use to get where it only effected us and not the spawn. o0o0oooo

Classic. I've cliented anywhere in fel doing any random act in pvp. Last night i cliented 2x once mounting up and another just hitting someone with my wep. Seems to be triggered by people doing multiple things on screen.

It's almost like the cnt/shift crashes of old (which still crash too even though they were supposed to be fixed years ago)

Just ran to my usual haunts of late and did not notice the same lag as I have been getting. Just the normal client side I usually deal with in certain high population areas. I will pay longer tonight with a group hopefully and report back.

We were all over Trammel last night doing treasure-maps and having lag-spikes regularly... I could even run my character in a small circle over and over again and once each circle he'd freeze up for a couple of seconds.
