Or to put it simply a record for the longest time logged into UO and doing exactly NOTHING.
I am coming to the conclusion that there must be a prize or some accolade to be obtained as I watch the performance of a character on Europa.
I am a long time Idocer and although I only do a few these days to keep my hand in I have a system of obtaining fall times developed over the years. Now I see 'normal' Idocers doing what they have always done and recalling in regularly to gather information as to when a house will go Idoc. I have noticed recently a player who apparently departs from this system and simply logs in hours before this will happen and just stays there hidden. Now it can be argued that this is normal, but it does seem that he is dedicated to breaking some kind of record for this activity. The most unusual aspect of this character is that at the last one I was at, other casual players were there and observed the house turn to Idoc and left to pursue other pursuits for the 7 hours until the house would fall.
Not the case with our potential record breaker he persisted and stayed there hidden for hours after the event. Not for him a nice break until the house fell He kept himself from timing out and obsessively watched the Idoc sign. This leads me to the conclusion that there must be some reward for such persistence.
Now today, if I am able to upload the pictures, we can all share in his endeavours. I am expecting the house in question to go Idoc around 8.50 to 9pm this evening. Our friend appeared at it at around 2pm so currently he has been 'active' for some 2 hours and has around another 4 and a half before it turns. I took a screenie earlier, which I will attempt to upload now, I can be seen and the hidden player indicated by the arrow.
