I am really disappointed about the lack of decorations in the places we hang out, i.e. Luna Bank or even Brit Bank. I understand, at least on our shard, they have a little event going on to aquire said decorations. Here it is 10 days till Christmas and now you want us to gather stuff so you can eventually decorate? I am not satisfied at this point in time and even more a little disappointed that our EM has chosen Jhelom as his main objective. If you don't want to decorate the banks I'd be more than happy to do it. Thats just my opinion....

What shard are you on? Luna is decorated on Origin.

Agreed. I can't say for sure but I don't remember anything on Lake Austin. Haven't been to Luna in a couple days though.

Honestly Xmas deco would be eh..cool I guess but I'd rather them focus 100% of their time creating fun rather then the same ole quests..my 2 cents

Europa luna Bank is decorated. looks soo good and even got Santa on his sleigh :)

Oh and we now got a super cool Snowman quest that takes us to the North Pole. Thanks Em's this quest made me laugh so hard :)

We are killing naughty elves to find stolen christmas deco to be turned in. It's a fun way of decorating, just wish it had started the day after Thanksgiving. We do have a tiny little tree and a little angel on top, and we have a Huge rainbow colored giant elf singing christmas songs badly, and a little mouse near the tree talking about the event, that mouse is adorable.

Yeah no decorations on Chesapeake either. Our Em told us there will be no events after the 18th. So I guess some EMs will be away for holidays spending time with their families! I guess I'll have to make some characters on other shards to enjoy some holiday events :).

There is some on atlantic ourside by the gate. The main reason alot dont decorate is peopple complained about the extra lag it caused alot of problems for some people.

Believe it or not some people are still playing on dialup......

Some deco I've seen on some shards looks horrible like some neon paint bomb went off and blasted hideous neon color all over everything....

Seven made a nice player event . a Thank you Drachenfels Event/Party.

And even if his house is not one of the decoration contest, he did a great job decorating it:



Lots of people came and the EM. Santa brought us a key and we got some realy nice gifts.



Was very nicely done.... I'll write my report on this later. Lots of fun. These are the reports of events i realy like to write about. :)

Seven´s Event was awesome: Imagine this: A player buys a Luna House to make a Christmas Party for the Drach-Community. The same player creates - together with other players - chars named Santa, Santa´s Elves and so on. Then the player goes shopping for hundreds of millions and puts the present in closed boxes. The keys are presented to ALL visitors of his Christmas Party and EVERYBODY gets a wonderful present from one of the boxes. Examples? Dread Pets, Valiant Scrolls, expensive Arties - not a single piece of crap. Everything done with effort, love, sophistication and philantropy. And his reasons for making us all happy that way? Because we are Drachenfels and he is happy about having us - and about being member of this lovely community...

Recapitulating everything I read about greed, exploits, dupes, inflation, cheating, corruption and so on in this game, I feel that THIS is the true reason why we are still here... Thanks Seven, thanks Frarc, thanks Borbarad, thanks Drachenfels...

We should care less about rewards, items and gold and more about the community... My 2 cents :)

I play 3 shards. I have a short attention span. On Atlantic the carolers are a nice non laggy touch. Ty Bennu & Tiberies. On Atlantic the holiday tree event was announced as it was. A holiday event. Up front. There were many monsters but all who showed had a good chance to get a tree. Ty ty again Bennu & Tiberies!

My next shard also had the tree event. Not even a hint of any holiday content in the post (orcs). :( When a little game time is available I have to choose events. O' well I lost out. I was told by one of the Ems last night that the event is over, no more tree chances.

My birth shard has not announced anything yet. They will. They are brave... :)

My bad... a guild on Atlantic also did a gifts to players event. It was nice things and well done and I cannot remember the name. I am so sorry I cannot. I will go find out.

EM on Chessy says if we want to deco luna bank(only) we should donates items via his mail box at the hoc house. If you want them back to enclose a book wif items and yur name?

I think there have been a couple of these player/guild events on Atlantic. The ARPC and some friends did a Santa Visit at one of my homes giving out Bags with Repair Deeds and other goodies.

On Atlantic, the *DP* Guild did a Xmas Give-Away for all players on the shard. We had 150 Xmas Chests with gifts in all of them. Each player was given a key and had to find the chest it fit. They then received the gifts in the chest they unlocked. It was a fun event, unfortunately a couple ruined it for several by hiding and stealing the gifts from chests before the individual player was able to move all the contents in their chest to their backpack. The members of *DP* guild donated all the gifts from their individual resources.

The tree and Sherry are nice additions but with EC you can't see the elf but it's singing is done badly always off key

Just a thought for the EMs to remember, there are so very many other places in UO that could be deco'd besides Luna. For instance, the little enclosed square next to Nujelm Bank, imagine how well it could be deco'd, and how pretty it would be. (sorry, but nothing in the mess called Luna will ever be pretty to me). Those who wanted to see it could, those who didnt, wouldnt have to worry about the lag.

Thats a really cool idea, need some way for the EM's to see this post rather than just by chance. Then all they have to do is put a sign of some sort at the banks saying to go see the xmas decorations at such and such. Like you get adverts over here to go see the xmas lights turned on at xxxx on xxx date
