Sorry, Ender. I didn't remember seeing that post from last spring. If I had, I would have thought it would have been fixed well before now, given some of the tweaks crafting got along the way. After all, when Imbuing came out, it seemed like small fixes were being done every few weeks, like the small window where artifacts were imbuable.
After all, the ability to reforge twice is pretty much an exploit just screaming to be fixed. Had I known that was what Semmerset was talking about in their broken English, that post would have been deleted 8 months ago, as per Stratics policy.
But as for today, it appears that exploit is closed.
And, Vexxed, you CAN'T MAKE a 100% Fire Dagger with just Exceptional DI, anymore, except by reforging. It would have to have DI as a property (say, if the person had less than GM arms lore), and THAT would prevent reforging.
Was your 100% fire Exceptional dagger several years old? Or might it have been 60-90% Fire and enhanced with bronze, with "do not color" chosen?
Only a several years old DC runic crafted dagger would be potentially reforgable, and it's possible they might have found a way to keep runic crafted from being reforged, even with 0 properties, and it might be that only colored loot with no properties might be reforgable now. I've no really old 100%/no other properties runic made items to test.
