Why can't it be imbued, reforged or enhanced?
I love the concept and happen to have a RP mage healer that would benefit greatly from this, but I can't use it, because it is impossible to add spell channeling to it, nor DCI, mage weapon or enhance it with special wood.
Even my parry macer would benefit from one if it was possible to imbue/reforge/enhance it.
If it was possible to add DCI to it, one could use a macro to switch mace and shield with it before healing if the situation was really hairy and get some extra bang from their bandages.
As it is now, once I drop my shield to equip the staff, I lose 15 DCI and thus I am an easier target for the monsters exactly when defense matters the most.
As it stands now, the Asclepius is pretty much deco instead of an interesting item that could find a niche use.
