Ok, so a couple months ago, some nefarious player robbed ol' milkbone's house and took a ton of our stuff to include all of our power scrolls (even the 115's) and his main pvp suit that, for some reason, was sitting in an unsecured box. Anyways, so, we don't really have lots of extra of anything, so we're down 1 dexxer suit. No problem, I can imbue more, but we need to get glad collar and a few other things. Whatever...
So, while I've been working on this, I've been thinking. What if UO wasn't so item intensive? Ok, have to dismiss that because people have worked hard for their stuff. Then the idea morphed into "what if pvp wasn't so item intensive?" I think that might work! Here's my idea, let me know what you think.
So, if the devs could program fel to have its own armor ruleset, I think pvp would become more enjoyable and user friendly. All players in fel would automatically have all 70s (like magic resist, but 70, not 44). All items would have 0 value EXCEPT the ring, brace, right & left hand. I have also been debating it, but I think everyone should be 100% LRC too along with 70s. But, with only 4 slots (with one open for pots) that makes people pick and choose how they want their guy set up. I mean, geez, with the crazy arties of today AND imbuing, you can make suits with mass SSI, 100 LRC, 40 LMC, 60 HCI, 60 DCI, 15 mana regen, 30 SDI, plus casting focus and damage eaters and more all on the same suit. It's crazy! With only the 4 slots (one used for pots, possibly) there is no way to make such crazy powerful suits.
Ok, I have more to talk about with this, but I thought I'd ask Chessy what you think. I know UO Hall, but a lot of those dudes are weird and have messed up agendas. So, uh, what do you think?
