Seriously ...Is anyone

useing a crafter to make keys for Exodus?

I have to admit I just looked at what was required and simply forgot about it. However I have visited the dungeon using other characters and I have now done some 5 hours or so in it. In that time I have had drops of the Altar, the Rite and ONE robe. I have as yet NEVER had a single dagger drop. That being the case I looked again at the making of a dagger by a crafter. The difficulty here for me is where in hell do you get hold of small pieces of blackrock? I do not have a miner and nobody sells it. Is no thought whatever given to how people are supposed to get ingredients?.

It seems not and so I am left with no alternative but to pursue the endless pursuit of the non-dropping. I seem to remember when the discussion about the +5 scrolls first arose it was stated that they would be available to all. Well it seems that they are obtainable by some as they are seen for sale at ridiculous prices, no way would I pay them and my endeavours to obtain one are, I think, doomed to be short-lived. The current trend seems to be kill kill kill and obtain keys and then kill kill kill to try for a drop. The current Exodus and recent change to Despise are both like this. What happened to the kind of quests in which it was possible for even crafters to participate? Ones like the Candle of Love. Something which actually required you to use your brain a little to work your way through the final maze. Exodus for me is nearly a gone goose.

I have made them all but the dagger is the easy one that I do alot. I have a miner and I pick up what other leave on the ground. Unfortunately they dont stack . Robe use abyssal cloth.. harder for me. But the rite needs taint! Be happy it wasnt the rite ..

We use a crafter to round out sets. We have done some with parties of 7 - 10 ans 3 - 4 times so we need some extra items some times.

Mining in malas/luna near that black pool of space on the edge is wher i get most of the blackrock but not just for the dagger also can make blackrock stew ,i have had to craft robe.dagger and the rite ,toomany alter's they drop the most out of all :whip: .we player's of Chespeake have been setting up like 2 runs a night >its working very well plus if another is in need of a key we sell per key 100k or just happyly give the key to the player .we have had like 10 + players with 2nd and at times a 3rd group.difficuit level should stay like it is (only my opinion ) i get bashed alot for my opioion's :gee: yet i like the challenge.players can teamup in getting the keys and 2nd team work while fighting Exodus , i like this dungeon because it offer's team work plus in the time its opned i have gotten 10 +5 stat scrolls plus i am happy to say for Chespeake i have seen teamwork by a few who are solo player's joining us :grouphug:.Hmm good luck i apologize to those who will get a headache from my miss spelling/typeing i am trying to bounce back.

A lot of the crafted items take way too much. Isn't it in the changes that the keys no longer take blackrock? Either way it should stack.

I have a pet peeve with the crafter made 1 charge soulstones myself.

Crafted items should be made using only items from crafting related skills (ingots, jewels, regs, pots ect) so a crafter shouldn't have to depend on people doing a peerless to get the ingredients to craft.

Check out the mining caves around Sosaria, Small blackrock all over the place. Took less than a minute to find some. Especially easy in the snowy places as its easy to spot.

If i need daggers, I'll craft those because they are cheap to make. But besides that, no.

I'm not about to waste Taint on a one use limited time item. And I like my abysal cloth too much to waste it either.

It seems to me they put quite abit of thought into it. They have made it so a range of different classes can participate and contribute parts using skills of their trade.
I do not have a miner.
This may blow your mind, so brace yourself. This is a multiplayer game. There are people who have a miner. Interact with the other players on your shard.
I seem to remember when the discussion about the +5 scrolls first arose it was stated that they would be available to all.
I seem to remember these items being available only to a small portion of players that did a quest. They DID make them available to anyone that is willing to do the leg work.
Well it seems that they are obtainable by some as they are seen for sale at ridiculous prices, no way would I pay them

See above. Every desirable rare arty/drop introduced to the game has been sold for high prices by those that put the work in to the lazies that won't put the time in. Stop complaining or do the work.

You are contradicting yourself in your own thread. They can participate, you even looked into how they can but didn't want to do it...

So much thought that people are stating that they will not use taint on a timed item as it is one of the most expensive and rare ingredients in the game.

You are presupposing that I play at a time when other players are there to interact with. And yes sure it is possible to get some this way but why not choose something that can be bought and improve the economy. You can buy the other ingredients why use one that nobody sells?

You remember correctly and they were only available originally to just a few who were lucky enough to get a drop. The ensuing uproar concerning that is the discussion I am referring to. They are NOT available to anyone that is willing to do the legwork. They are still dependant on the RNG and I together with others in my guild have done the legwork. None of us have had a drop of a scroll. Is that your interpretation of available to anyone?

You do seem to be taking a lot for granted here. Having played for some years I am well aware of the prices some people will pay for some items. If you read that sentence carefully you will see that I am not complaining at all I am just giving my opinion on the inflated value of some things. You appear to be labouring under the delusion that if people express an opinion they are in some way 'lazy'.

I do wish you could understand what you are reading. Crafters really CANNOT participate in this quest (unless you have a Kamikaze Blacksmith who likes collecting deathrobes). Visits to Exodus by crafters and mules would be severely dealt with unfortunately so the chances of one emerging clutching a scroll is rather remote.
Crafters CAN construct the keys for OTHERS to participate I suppose that is your idea of participation. BUT, the quest to which I was referring, The Candle of Love, WAS participated in by my crafter. The WHOLE quest that is not a section that can be completed in your home.

Like everybody on the forums you are entitled to your opinion, I must say however that yours does not impress me very much as you seem to comment without understanding. I would advise reading posts carefully in future.

Slayvite is 100% right. There's small pieces of blackrock ALL over the place since they have NO decay timers on them. Miners toss them like gum wrappers.

Go into almost any cave in Malas and the stuff is littering the ground.
Follow almost any mountain range in Tram and you'll trip over it.
Spend 15 mins in game looking for it in these places, you'll b fine.

Crafting the keys is a very good alternative to hunting - as you might be very unlucky sometimes and don´t get the last piece you need. And it is a very easy task to get the stuff you need for crafting if you ask on your shard. Many people have the necessary stuff in stock...

I crafted many pieces for completing my sets and I appreciate this option very much! Its really easy work!

Neither your original post nor your weak rebuttal impress me. I read and understood your post quite clearly. Have a nice day.

Now I am impressed! Your wonderful ability to estimate a persons character from an opinion is almost mystical. My statement that I will not pay inflated prices for something I do not need infers that I am lazy, OK sobeit, if that is the case, I admit it, I am lazy as hell. My rebuttal is probably weak because I am too lazy to put more effort into it.

Thank you for your good wishes I wish the same to you.
