The problem is, I am not getting any form of message at all (I am now 58 with no messages). It doesn't matter what time it is, I thought maybe I was just unlucky and people had already gotten to the chests, but I have tried it now multiple times.

I do play in the EC with Pinco's (with my eyesight and monitor the CC is WAY too small, and if I change the resolution on my monitor it becomes way too blurry), could that be a problem, do you not see the messages in the EC or maybe with Pinco's?

I don't think i got messages until i hit 60 tbh.

Hrm, well I honestly didn't try it with less than GM.

I would say work the skill and then give it a try, it could be necessary to have it a bit higher than what you have it at currently.

I worked up Detect hidden this morning until about 65 and now I got my 1st message.

What is the weakest resist of all of the robotic monsters? Is it energy?

One thing could be your shard. What shard are you on?

Reason I ask is I play a really small shard, and can go to the dungeon, stealth around, and get 'messages' in nearly every room, however, if there is ONE other stealther or more in the dungeon, the hits on messages decreases markedly. There have been times when I have stealthed the whole dungeon and had NO hits, but I do see 'other boxes' revealed by other stealthers.

I use the EC and Pinko's so it isn't that.

At 58 you SHOULD be getting messages, if your not perhaps page a GM see if something is 'stuck' on your character?

Guys for those of you training Detect, i have not read this anywhere, but can confirm it works with a crystal ball of knowledge. If you are training on trapped boxes in town, the further you are away from the box the higher the difficulty. I have trained up to 80 on boxes every site says to train only to 60, and i remained in optimal rage the entire time. This should help us find those invisible crates!

Thank you so much for your help. I play on Chessy. But I finally started getting the messages once I hit 60 (I guess maybe my char was being stubborn lol) and I found my first box YAY!!!
