Should I get the upgrades or wait

Ok, so my birthday is tomorrow (thank you) and my amazing, wonderful, patient, understanding, supportive RL hubby gave me cash to buy some upgrades for my UO account. I've picked out 4 that I want.

With the issues we seem to be having with the holiday gift stuff, should I wait to do the upgrades until things settle down or will the upgrades have no impact whatsoever on what's happening with the Xmas issues? If I buy them, should I do one at a time or am I safe to buy them all at once (I've never done multiple upgrades at once)?

I wouldn't worry, they will not make any difference, they have nothing to do with the Christmas Gifts. And don't worry about buying multiple ones. I've done it and it worked fine.

Thanks for the bday wishes (I'm a firm believer in celebrating each and every birthday with gusto and am never hesitant to share my age - although it's not allow in the forums).

I went ahead and jumped on it (can't stand having money burning a hole in my pocket). Robyn got her wood working bench, Rienna got her Britannian ship replaced complete with a captain's wheel, Rhiannon got 3 more raised garden beds, and all the sisters are fighting over who gets the 11th anniversary gift items. As soon as they finish "accessing my request" on each item, we'll be happy as clams. Bonus is we got our Christmas gifts too! Kinda miss the tall Christmas trees but alas, they will be purchased down the road someday.

Like men don't spend money quickly. I might point out that my hubby has more clothes and shoes than I do. And he spends a lot more on each item than I do. And his car is WAY more expensive than mine. His hobbies cost more. Just sayin'...

I guess in my family, we split the difference. I have the expensive computer and always want the latest phone. He's a lethal poker player and wins more than he looses. I just happen to like convertible beetles and he just happens to like convertible mercedes. So it's a pretty fair split. But since it's my birthday WEEK, I get to be right. Every day. For a week.

Oh I totally understand wanting the points. It takes forever to save those up. I got to 15k and chose myself a lamp. I've been saving for a matching lamp for months. Then I saw half a dozen other things I wanted. If I had chest after chest of never used rares like that, I'd dump them too. I just appreciate you letting me having the stuff you did. My house is now decorated in it's Christmas glory.

Technically, I gift myself pretty much whatever I want too but I do tend to be quite frugal with my own money. He knows this and sometimes will give me extra and tell me to not be so frugal with it. Once before we moved to Vegas, we were at a casino and he knows I only play penny slots and usually only 5 cents a hit. He gave me $100 and said "you can spend this on slots but you MUST hit max bet every time". I did that for maybe 20 minutes. Got up $35. Gave him the $100 back and went back to MY way of playing. *laughs*
