How to reclaim a broken ankh of sacrafice?

I started decoing a room in my house, and the ankh of sacrafice was not centering correctly. I tried to raise it, which resulted in the ankh breaking into pieces. Well, then i figured I would axe the ankh and just get the deed back. Nope... the piece disappeared, and no deed showed up in my backpack. Here is a picture of what remains.

I did not want to axe the blood hoping a gm would come and redeed it for me. If I axe all the blood, I'd have no proof that I had an ankh of sacrafice at all. I paged a GM, but haven't heard anything. Can someone please chime in and tell me what I'll need to do to reclaim this pricey piece?

Thanks in advance

In my experience you get the "we can not replace lost item". Best of luck though.

I wonder if the time of day makes any difference. I recently paged a GM in the wee hours of the morning (after 3 a.m. est), and he responded in about ten minutes.

Sorry nothing can be done you axed it while it was broke in pieces. So this won't happen to you again when you break deed items. To fix them lower each piece to the ground til you see the message that you can NOT lower each piece down anymore then take your axe to it.

Very unlikely they will do anything about it but you know for the future that if its a deed item and broken and you axe it you loose the lot. I found out the hard way aswell and lost loads of display cases.

I think it was implemented when people were doing it with vet anks years an years ago to dupe them as by axing it broken you ended up with 2 deeds one from each half :)

FYI anks sit in the middle of 2 tiles not in the centre of a single tile thats why they break, same goes for any deed item that sits across more than one tile as apposed to single tile items dont break.

Two weeks ago I did the same exact thing to vet reward cannon (was trying to put a floor under it, tried raising it up and ended up trashing it) and I ended up paging a GM.

They showed up fairly quickly, removed the rest of the debris and gave me a new deed. So keep cool and word your message properly and you might luck out too.
