first few times i was there, i swore there was a stealther opening the doors trying to get me killed, then i sussed it was the monsters doing it…

Some do some don't. The most intelligent hunter knows which are which and can prepare accordingly. I actually like many of the ones that know how to use a doorknob. Sometimes I think all to often we become complacent... and forget to be on our guard.

The thing that always amused me years ago in Fire level 2 was the lich lord couldn't find his way out of the little box they spawned in, he had to wait for his minion, the regular lich, to let him out.
