and letting u know why u should do it too.......so a big heads up....its not a secret anymore........*.tips hat.*

Everyone is know training new chars up on every shard...[.at least 2 types/styles]....say tamer and sampire....so they have EVENT CHARS on every shard.....its been happening a lot more of late..as u need a good char and not just a new char to get a pop at the ''bling bling pixel event drops''........and more and more people are doing all shards events knowadays because this is the way of UO and by far the easiest way to make UO gold quickly...and to be fair with fun too!!!

sorry to break the bad news that 100s of new players have been seen filling ourlands to the rafters.....

no not saying its new...the old event players have had good chars on all shards for many years...just saying thats is happening a lot at the moment.......hence a lot of youngs or new players roaming haven ....lol.... being noticed. as the mid year players catch on to the idea of multi shard event play........[whatever]

Have to say Tazar is correct as well as THP.
On napa and a few other shards I have seen the influx of skilled "new" characters working skills... But I too have run across and helped a good deal of real "NEW" players who couldnt figure out how to kill a mongbat! So your both right.

this is true, but i've seen some people including myself help out what appears to be a newbie, but actually its a well seasoned player acting out the part for some handouts. probably a 1 out a of 10 ratio

I banksit in Haven on Atlantic and see new people all the time. Mostly returning people who haven't played in 10 years and have no idea what's going on. Quit being emo, get off Legends or whatever, and come to Atlantic. This is mostly a Japanese game now anyway.

Actually your wrong sir, any vet who is cross shard eventing is transferring fully built chars on well established accounts, thus they don't have the "young" status. Also if you pay close enough attention *it really is pretty obvious* the hardcore event players use the same char names or char themed names. Please move on to your next outraged weekly topic.

Personally, I don't have the time to hit events most of the time... but does it really matter?

If that is something that someone enjoys, then more power to them. It really doesn't affect anything and it isn't anything new. Its been going on since the EM program started.

In my experience, people who complain all the time have pretty miserable lives. Life is too short to be miserable or surround yourself with negativity.

Huh?

People have made/trained multiple chars for years to work events on multiple shards. That is a part of the standard, normal player population.

If you are seeing alot more people above and beyond this then that means IMO that there are more new people playing UO. Not ofc a ton of new players but a nice group at least.

Its really not hard logic to follow if you are unbiased and not one of those people that feels like they are a jilted lover of UO because nothing is the same as their honeymoon period

Errr yes i forgot ..........u can now transfer gold and uber gear free every month to other shards of your chicoe FREE with the shard shields.....dead expensive that!!

So your main point is only that new players are not placing houses...ok. So?
Maybe they are and are just not placing the large houses. Perhaps because they don't know how to farm gold? You seem like you're presuming that new players are coming in with absolute knowledge of how this game works. Also, what is this free housing you are talking about? I don't seem to recall people walking around handing out houses for free.

I do just that on Atlantic whenever I have an empty mule account open. They are usually small or medium homes, but size does not matter to most new or returning players.

You have to be in the EM circle to get something(EM ass kissers) i went to an event last week(no idea why) and the em is chanting"throw the apple" so im throwing the apple like a goof and of course i dont get looting rights because the sampires are doing 150 or more a hit, so pretty much EM events are for only the hardcore that have maxed out 400mill suit sampires and you have to have your gargoyle nose up someones rear to get all the info before event starts

I train new chars but usually trade armor and gold on other shards to get built...but when creating new characters not advanced but picking a standard Mage/smith/warrior gets you the young status oddly enough

We have new and returning players on Drachenfels too. I feel a small part to bring new players or getting old players back is our task. Make fun events and help each other.

But thats should not be directed to me, its towards all players and EM's on all shards that makes the effort to make things even more fun on their shards.

So again, yes us players can also make things a better experience to enjoy this great game. The Devs gives us the "tools" to make it fun, we just have to use them.

You attended one event and didn't get a prize so it's fixed?
First - EMs don't play favourites - because at the first whiff that they are Mesanna will jump on them from a great height, she won't stand for bias.
Second - to know about an event before it starts on most shards you just say 'news' to the town crier, or read the EM website, or EM boards on Stratics.
Third - EM events are for people to go along and enjoy them, Getting an item at the end is not the main reason to attend them

We are also seen new players on Siege, who do not much about the game and we had been seen old players back, who don't know about anything added after AoS.

drops are random, i recently transfered a char to a shard, had my first event there as o totaly unknown player, and got a drop...next 2 events i enjoyed there, i didnt get a drop.....so your theorys are wrong....

Your posts are laughable, at best.

I usually know what is going on at events, and it is because I pay attention, and I attend the events with a group of players who are capable of noticing what I do not notice. Take what they notice, combine it with what I notice, and a good picture of even the most complicated event emerges.

I also usually try to convey, through Global Chat, what I know or believe to be going on.

Basically, it seems, you blame others for your own failures and then whine on the boards later. Sadly the culture here has made this into an effective tactic, but it lacks all objective merit.
