I'm interested in possibly returning to UO but I dont want to pay a full month's subscription to come back and find out I cant stand UO anymore. Is there any possibility of getting a one day code or something to fire up an old account and try it out for a day? Thanks!

Just call EA and tell them you can't afford UO but want to give it a shot. I've gotten over a year of free gametime 90 days at a time this way.

It's about the price of one movie ticket without popcorn or candy.
3 gallons of gasoline, if you can get it pretty cheap.

Maybe it's not common practice anymore but back when I played most people had multiple accounts. I was one of them.
Hey it was common........i too had 3 in the hey day ....then went to 2 a few years back then just one a year or so ago.......alas most people are stripped to the bones of just one...apart from the simpletons of course.........and quite a few just play 30 days every 90 days ..aka they pay once per 3 month [4x a year] to keep there castle and stuff safe just incase....something mega happens!!!! LOL

I think they have a new 14 day trial account available. It wouldn't get you your old characters, but it would let you experience the world, game mechanics, etc
I know there are limits on what you can and can not do with a trial account, BUT it is free. Ultima Online If you enjoy yourself then spend the 12.99 to give it a try with your own characters.

I'd like to see week long sub options as other games do, but we only have 1, 3 or 6 month options for UO currently.
For those who love to explain that "it's the price of a coffee," once you figure out how to make your money stretch further, wasting it feels like a greater loss. I could still manage a week's food on a month's UO sub money, not as easily as before but it's certainly possible. So sub money is just a cup of coffee, but only if you don't try to make it stretch Once you understand how much other stuff that small amount of cash can buy, it's much easier to save it hehe.

Incorrect. I have not played actively for quite some time. I dropped my house in an event. You can search the archives on Great Lakes to see the pictures of the event. Ask some of the Great Lakes players who knew me as Kahlan, Useless, Scorn, Soundblaster, WIz, Decreamos...to name a few. I ran with Floyd the Barber, malador, sieg, and most of JW.
