I like this as a way to revitalize siege.
I also think that as a vet reward, at 5 years you get 2 houses per acct and 3 at 10 years. I play several shards and don't want an account per shard. There is PLENTY of housing available across all shards.

Bo loves this idea, sure the prime spots will have turds tryin to place from other shards and what not big deal. There are soo many prime spots open, let someone else grab the spot. As far as using up all the open spots on siege, the Bo finds this hard to believe. You need a market to sell these houses too, there is no current market for selling houses (cept castles and new mag).

I do believe, the second house thing should not only work for Siege but on all shards. With allowing it on all shards, players would move their house, if they choose a new shard as second shard and they would not block for new active houses on Siege.
A tools, that would only allow to place a house of max 100 tiles that must be refreshed once a month would work fine.
A player could rezise his primary house to below 100 tiles and switch, so the second house become primary and old house become second house, then he could rezise the new primary house.
I can see, if a player place a new house, and already have both a primary and a secondary house, the choose of tools, would choose what old house to decay. If using tools for primary house, old primary house would decay.
I really hope Devs will come up with something soon, that both help the homeless Siege players but also help Siege so only active houses will stay.
A few years ago I created a char for seige. The players there were very welcoming . Handed over some gear and a couple mil in gld to get started. The more I played that char the less peoplee I saw. I'd log in for an hour and see maybe 2 people. It was bad. So I left. I now log that char only on godie give away days.
I'd rather not waste a second house slot on a low pop shard. I'd rather be able to place on a shard with more people to interact with. I dont always get to play when my shards prime time is. I'd play a second shard if i had a small place to call my own. I'd be happy with old style small hose only as a secondary.

I also venture onto Mugen, a second house there would be nice. If not, one on an icky prodo shard I suppose...
I have a free castle waiting for me on one of the prodo shards. Just need a second account or a second house option...

Personaly I'd like to see the whole 1 house per account recinded back to prior to 2002 pub 16. It Drove off many players and made uo just that must more micro managed by EA.
I understand they wanted to curb the growing cry for more housing land, and the clever accountants found if you make it 1 house per.... thats alot of extra$$$$ in EA pockets. But these days we are few and far between on 99% of the shards. You can walk vast stretches on many and not see 1 house where there once was hundreds.

Push it back to 1 house per shard per account. This does 2 things. The first it allows for that house on Siege all have wanted for years. Second This allows that player who moved away from their home shard to go to a more populated Atlantic to have a home back from wence they came. This might give some less populated shards a chance to have a working population. Ask any here if they wouldnt like to have that second home back home. Many had to give up homes to go where there was more people. Shards could use the filling too.
I know from my homes over the shards that its kinda lonely just being hte only one on the whole stretch of land....

Allowing people to own a house on Siege as well as a house on a prodo shard makes sense. It opens up the possibility of people plopping down houses and never playing as well, but I'm going to assume Mesanna has considered and plans for that.
The idea of having a house on more than one prodo shard is problematic. Some shards have plenty of free space. Atlantic, however, might run out of space. That being said, I'd be open to a system like this where you can pay for an account upgrade that allows the second house.

If they allow more houses, maybe they should add the 'Trammel' facet as Mugen has with Fel ruleset. This would help with ensuring more room.
Also... if they are going to treat the Siege shards as having a separate pool for housing... then maybe there needs to be a separate pool for vet rewards as well.

I'm a little confused still.... does this means that my existing Seige account that owns a house can now place on Catskills as well?
And can all my accounts place one other on Seige? That would give me a total of seven houses on Seige...

Not really. you still had to survive to make all the gold it will take to buy the other 6 houses.
Being able to have a second house on Siege would be a good thing, as many players have expressed interest in trying out that shard if such an option was available. But I also think that any account over a year old should be able to add one small house on any shard of their choice, including their home shard. Perhaps requiring the second house to be refreshed on a regular basis might be a good idea as well.

its gonna look like that scene from Enemy at the Gate where all the Russians are exiting of the boat and half of them have no guns or anything and they are running into the waiting arms of the Germans and getting mowed down like ripe wheat to the farmers scythe.
THAT's what this is gonna be the day they flip the switch, hahahaha.
now, the question is..... will i be a naked runner or a blood soaked killer on that day.....
