I have always built up my chars with max resist, and max pvp defence. Ive become a 'player of the trammel facet' due to all the things i experienced in the game.

Now it is so, that even if my players are max fit, max gear - i have to become a faction player to get my gear up to speed???

I do not see how that is fair, - you want us 'trammies' to come to fell. But I love my guild and I will NOT leave my guild to go to a faction, just for to get that extra stats, hits and mods on the artifacts that are for the rest of the world.

We may come in group, and i dont fear it - but i dont see its reasonable, with all the enhancement, reforging and imbuing u got nowdays to give 'faction players' a extra bonus on same artifacts we have to pay hard blood money for. If so, let it count in a faction vs faction fight!

I love fell, i live in fell and i grew up there - but the way the devs are pushing it, its not my love facet. I do it for champs, and I solo champs many times a day - but in a 1 vs 1 fight, with same skills...but the opponent got geared with faction armor...im lost.

But I still encurage my group to go there...Just make it fair..

Make it less item based and more skill based!!

I'm not saying that this is restricted to just UO, or that all fell players are like it, but at least in most other MMOs you can't hear the other people trash talking in chat since most games are are faction based and can't talk with the other team.

My problem is exactly the same as Vor.
I don't have a problem dying to another player, but I hate dealing with the trash talking from internet tough guys.

I have been more active in fel lately, even with my "amazing" 250 ms ping, and clearly non-maxed PvM suit with some really low resists and I won't be bothered if I end up in a fight and get destroyed, as long as the other party is reasonable with their victory celebration.

No one is in factions anymore, reforging a suit is way better than faction gear so there is no noeed to cry about faction gear anymore.

I pulled all my chars out of faction when they screwed over the point system and then build a better suit from reforging my own parts. I now have a more powerful suit than i could ever have gotten from faction gear.

Log out of General Chat then! I dont stick around after death to let them trash talk me while im a ghost and I dont tune into Generl Chat to hear the trash talk either.

You die, You res up, Restock and get back in the fight.

Stop letting yourself be wound in by the trolls. You dont need to be Tuned int General Chat to PvP. You can PvP just as good without it.

LIES!!, sometimes i find teeth marks on my corpse , but yes, our general chat is very cordial most of the time.

There's so many threads lately with multiple people voicing concern over fel. I think it's great and hopefully the people upstairs are listening to our pleads.

Imo factions and chat should be scrapped as soon as possible.

There's not enough population to justify a 20min stat loss time but just enough population to ensure players will get ganked immediately putting them in the 20min time out. When there were 20 v 20 fights it was a fun idea but players are now frustrated by the stat. The armor is outdated with reforging but i would be afraid to invest a sum of money into armor until we learn what the "armor and wep revamps" are or when an ETA will be on these changes. So save your money until the people in charge speak.

Chat is the bane of UO. I usually have it off unless i'm in need to buy something then it absolutely disgusts me with the way some people talk. Some people want to leave chat open in case the deal of the day comes and it's a nightmare to try to get anything done over the trash talk. These people do not represent Fel nor should all of us that PK/PvP/ or even play in Fel be sterotyped over the actions of these children. We cannot police players actions, words or emotions other than killing said players when given the chance.

Gen chat was a great addition...for trades meeting people amongst other things..yes the cry trolls in chat can be annoying sometimes that I agree man I've even been involved some of those times..but I've also got tons of Mage duels due to that gen chat and even people to help me learn reforming when I came back..so it is not the bane of UO..the 15yr olds are lol but having them whine in chat then die 1v1 is such a good feeling come on now

All the interesting people on Legends are in General Chat.
What I do when those internet tough guys crosses the line is put them on my ignore list for the time being.
It still bothers me a bit, but it won't put me off going to Fel, for when some decent and nice people crush me there, I have the opportunity to crack a few jokes about my demise and get everyone laughing and the lighten the general mood around.

Why should everyone else be forced out of General Chat because the PvPers want to 'use' it? I'd prefer it if the devs would increase the size of the Chat Ignore list in the Classic Client so I can fit all their alts on too :/

This does not seem to be an issue, because the amount of silver and upkeep to replace the gear more than compensates for the few extra resists and mod the piece(s) have.

It's not even the best gear in the game. Wih the new dungeon gear and the craft systems you don't have to use faction items or be in factions to compete. Especially if you're in TRAMMEL, then it doesn't matter because you're not competing with anyone.

I dont want or wish that fell get too much *treats* that on some shards can be controlled by one alliance... I want it to be changed so that anyone can go in with a decent gear and survive - or run!

I love lot of changes, and i dislike a lot of them. Im not a coward, but im getting older - and my finger just dont react so fast anymore. I put up 15 years in this game, wich I just love. But - im close to getting parkinson and alzheimer.... and I feel to just express my thoughts of it.

My main gear is a imbued mage suit or enhanced sampre suit - both of them have better artis in crimmy and hom. That is just not fair.

I read a post here to give each facet a treat to make you go there, and I loved that. But - if they gonna take it to fell, id rather say let the mods not count so much there. Let the fights last longer in pvp and let the skills and template be the reason to win or loose - not the items!

Best I could get was a GM suit, and a vanq katana....and no insurance... or i ran around with my tamer and i made my template so that the pet just assisted me. Now anyone can gear up right, and kill the most skilled person, just cuz he got items to do it.

My 120 archer, anatomy, tackt fighter get killed with 2 shots fired in 2 seconds... and she is strong... how is that? Is that fair? Is that skill?

No - thats hit and run from items. If you want peoples to return to fell, make the mods dont count. Make the fights longer - so you get time to defend. Im not a kiddo at 13 with all my reflexes and macros in my fingertips... I have to try tink to use them.

Should fell be made for only smart moving fingers, or for anyone that want to try? Should it be harder to kill another person, so that other person got a choose to leave or fight?

I see - if i should drag my members into fell huntings, they want to be safe - they want to know they have a way of retreat. The balance is wrong, you may not agree with me. But I see it as a old term player seen all changes. And I am NOT a pvp. Im just a casual fell player that live there.

Then you read me again, i dont do because I dont want to. Im getting older and my fingers dont work as they used to- thats a fact. Id love to fell, but turn fell skill basesd.

I think I understand what you're getting at. It would be better to rely on skill rather than mods but everyone has the opportunity for the same mods. And despite even if you took away all mods and gave everyone the same suit, people with the smart moving fingers would still win.

It might vary shard to shard because on Pac almost all the serious players are in Factions and every one of them is using the faction items.

Faction items do provide an advantage and cannot be replaced/equaled using imbuing and reforging. For example you cannot make anything close to the faction kasa not to mention the crimson.

The easiest way to fix the issue with general chat is

1) Scrap it
or
2) Make a seperate Gen chat for fel only and does not bleed over into the other facets.


This has not been the first complaints about it and has been raised many times on these boards and wont be the last. Maybe the developers will see this and maybe try to do something about it. It's an obvious problem for some and a person should not have to turn off a feature because they are told to if they don't like seeing it.

If you know how to build a suit, you wont get hung up in what mods are on an individual Items. I get my spell damage from an invasion spell book now with 30% SDI it maxes me out for my char in PvP so I don't need the SDI from the Kaza. All my resists are at 70+ so there is no need for the resists from the Kaza and my DCI is at 70 so I don't need the DCI either (add 8 LMC and 10 DCI and 2 FCR on that spell book too)
All it takes is knowledge of how to re arrange your suit. Im not here to teach you how to build a suit, that's for you to work out. But im telling you for sure my suits on 12 of my PvP characters are way better than they were while I was in factions.

For peoples paying millions for int 3 shooes, thoose few extra stats are worth a lot for peoples. And faction artifacts are cheap considered with the gold a player have to pay for same ones.

I am might not good at making examples, but - my thoughts are for to get more players to come play fell, and I might be as wrong as a man can be, - but level out the armory in fell a bit. Being hit by 2 arrows from a heavy x-bow and im dead with all 70 resists and 110 magic resist is not a invite for my friends to come join me. For me its just some insurance money cost, cuz fame is too easy. But, I do see the unfairness in that. Im not a fast jumping macro finger, I do things the slow way - and my head dont work the way it used to do for 20 years ago.

Yes, it is Mugen, has same rule set as Siege, but it has a Trammel , even though their Trammel has the Fel rule set

I see only One Siege on my list of shards I dont see one called Asian Siege! And as i was talking about Siege an no other shard what does an Asain shard have to do with my Ping to the Good Old US of A

I don't use the chat system that often, why don't you ask those that do? Personally I use Ventrilo. I CBA with typing while im playing.

I offered solutions to a problem for a single person. You are asking me to speak for everyone. I suggest you ask those PvPers who use Chat why they don't use their own not me.

Mugen is the Japaneses Siege shard, but that's not an alternative for EU players. Making a Siege shard in UO would be a bad idea, as there would not be enough to fill it unless we first make some changes to Siege ruleset.

1. Let players have same count of char slots like on normal shards.
2. Allow recall with 10-15 sec delay. If you take damage, it will fizzle.
3. Allow npc's to train skills like on normal shards.
4. Remove this stupid factions taxes and remove 3x npc prices
5. Add 2 x resource spawn/drop and fame gain.

Then maybe we could fill Siege with players and it would make sense to add an EU Siege shard

It's like winker already said if you know what you're doing that 10dci isn't something you can't obtain else where if you know how to build a suit. If you can't figure it out, well I feel bad for you but that's about it.

Again the only thing that you can't make up is the crystaline ring.
