In the wake of a new focus our studio has recently changed its name from BioWare Mythic to Mythic. Everything else stays the same - our passionate teams will continue to support and develop our existing titles as well as working on some new and exciting projects.

Ok..... I have to ask is it just me that wonders WHY in the heck all the screenshots are from the Japanese servers???

I mean don't we take screenshots? How is someone from anywhere else going to get much of anything out of those screenshots when everything that is there is in Japanese???

Nothing against Japan but don't they have their OWN really NICE website???? Is Mythic Japanese and I just never realized it???

This is nice to know. We already knew about the part about the dev teams continuing to support and develop the existing titles, you need to be pretty passionate about a game to be its developer despite the negligence of this scale from its publisher anyways. It is also nice to know that after Mythic's mmos, including Ultima Online, lost some of their experienced developers to Star Wars: The Old Republic, while not getting any attention in return, neither from EA or Bioware, EA finally decided to distant Bioware's name from the titles they ignore the most, good for them . I heard rumors about Mythic also focusing on mobile games, but the current teams, who deserve the title passionate, are already as thin as they can be, so much that I don't think they can work on any other new project, yet alone game apps for mobile devices.

I had the chance to meet some of the "Mythic people" at what I think is still considered to be THE BEST TOWN HALL MEETING -- EVER !!!
It was held in Las Vegas at the Rio Hotel, never had so much fun in my life- REAL Embroidered cloth Banners for all of the other servers, Guilds there with their
Banners in the bars - err amm drinking establishments.Fantastic costume contests!!! Then there was the Scavenger Hunt, o what a riot!!! it was close
to 5 days of true unending delight.. cause a lot of us got there early. I KNOW some of them are still here- hope this brings back as many happy memories to you
as the thought of it has for me .. and let us NOT forget the Best Legs in a Kilt Contest!!!! Photos were taken and are being held even now in secret underground places

I'd been to a town hall for combined UO & DAOC but the Vegas one is THE one that all other town halls have to measure up to!
And THAT'S due to the same passionate, hard -working, thoughtful, fun-loving people that work for this. A passion they have.

I think Ultima Forever will be their first Mobile game.. I for one am Excited about the change it means they are creating a brand on it own right again.. rather than be a department its a division...

Paul Barnett released some pictures of the new reception of the mythic offices it looks pretty sweet with a Chain Mail banner...

Prob. because the Web Site was turned over to the Japanese so it could get done.

Well, I was hopeful when we became Bioware/Mythic for an eventual sharing of talent. Not sure how I feel about this change. Proof will be in the pudding.
