As the titles says, im looking for more games and events to run. Giving myself a headache though trying to come up with new and creative things to do, so I'm turning it over to the forums, anyone have any suggestions or ideas no matter how rough.

*Bagball tournament in the Fel Brit farm.
*Scavenger Hunt that includes clues for each location.
*Naked dungeon crawl to see who can kill and loot to suit them selves up best and survive the longest.
*Fishing tournament. Asign points for each fish caught with bonus points for the large fish.
*Archery contest.
*Jousting tournament.Also a tournament classed by the weapon skill of the contestants.
*House deco/customize theme contest. Pirate,dungeon,medieval castle,farm themes among others.

Thank you Hunter's some of those Ive covered already (My Event Guide link in my sig) but others such as naked dungeon crawl with loot to equip sounds interesting, and maybe if i could come up with an interesting house deco contest theme and some non partisan judges i could do that as well. Ive always wanted to do The Price is Right just to write up some creative descriptions for the items but I could never type fast enough nor focus to host something that involved. Another one Ive been wanting to do is a game board for everyone to run through with dice, prize tiles and all. I've gone as far as laying it all out before but for some reason or another it never came to fruition as an event.

Both good ideas, the game board idea though I may have to try, was the game a game of your own design or are we talkin Uo chutes and ladders? =) Ill take your layout off your hands if ya like hehehe it would save me some time

On another thread an idea came up that fits your request... have you ever thought of crafter based tests? Cooking a full course meal and setting the tables for it.... or a full setup of a room of furniture.... from floor to walls with a theme color. Board games are nice. Major hunt for obscure items done in teams... that use to keep my guild of 300 busy on a saturday

I do not have it anymore nor pictures. It was just a plot set up as a graveyard with a path winding through it.
It was not a race through it, more like just see how many prizes a participant can accumulate by landing on the appropriate tiles just using the first die # to move. Three tiers of prizes, lowest tier had many tiles to land on, highest tier just one lucky tile. I was also thinking to allow people a chance to roll to upgrade the prize tier. Carnival game I guess.
And there is always Pedestal Pong from the Phoenix Memorial Festival, that plot is still set up on Legends. A frustrating game for those with bad luck

The auction event had to grow over the years. If we look back and the first auction their where only 8 items.
It took a lot of effort and "adveritising" both on websides and ingame (runes,general chat) to make it what it is today.
They had to limit too 5 items a person because it became so popular. Otherwise they would be more then 100 items a auction.
Gilmour works realy hard to have his website The Knuckleheads as good as it is now. And not just for the auction.

The Sosarian Brainiacs is fairly new but the second edition was a bigger success then the first.

The Gladiators only had first event , so that was still on a testing phase. We want to give something to the PvP players and reward them and give them a chance to show them their skills. We only had 6 fighters in the first event but i got feedback on chances for the next to try to get more fighters.

The Voidpool Challenge , Battling the Behemoths , Tour of Champions ,The Gauntlet are all made to give everyone a chance to do all these things you can't do alone.

We even had a Battle Armor Contest to design a new suit for me. Somethign for the crafter among us. And i can already tell a second contest like this is coming very soon .

We also have white net toss and fishing contests and so many things we can think of.
A lot of things are on requests.

And we have our EM Events.

Working on new ideas like a fighting club for small pets (Turkeys,Ferrets,Battle Chickens) The Exodus encounter that is now on TC will also coming soon as a regular event.

We like to cycle between all the different stuff. Drachenfels maybe a smaller shard but there is plenty to do.

It is just a matter of brining it all on the boards to players attention and in general chat (And in our case in the big alliance)

But like i said before, if you want to steal some idea's for your shards, Do it!


It is not the person who announce the events that makes the fun, its the players that join!

You can always try a pre Order vs Chaos .

Just get low end loot as gear and weps for players and choose sides and just have an old fashion fun fight.


Also you can always try Friday Night Fights.

Hold 1 vs 1 , 2 vs 2, and so on and let the people rejoice in blood and gore with fun fights or go outside if they don't want to particpate. We used to go outside while the more serious of solo players were inside dueling and jst make random groups of even teams and go at it in a designated area. No looting or rez kills. Was pure fun. Some even shared TS and vent information to enhance the fun and had much more organized fights. No prizes or anything. Just the shard having fun together.


Let's not forget Saturday Night Spawn Nights

Meet up at Yew gate in tram and have all te shard go together and opick a spawn in any facet and just do it. Eeven if you go to fel there is plenty of people to help do and defend the spawn.



Last but not least, Humpday Treasure Hunting Night.

Make teams up and have so many maps for each team equally. Have a start time and the first team that gets all the maps done and brings back the most gold from the chest gets the choice of the artifacts from all the teams that particpated. then second place team gets to choose and so on .


Oh Oh Oh I so forgot! Surely you want to hold the Rumble In the Jungle Thursday Night Robe Runs.

Players runs naked as a jay bird only with a robe all through fel from Yew bank to Brit east bank then to Trinsic gate. No pots, bandages, items or any healing skills can be used. First one to make it to Trinsic has to run back to yew and win a " All I got was this lousey death robes for my effort but I had fun" Contestants can slow down any players by blocking them ( if in fel) or making fun and sarcastic remarks about Stratics staff at each other and hope the other player laughs and moves the wrong direction .

Some ideas for you to consider

Cross dressing fashion show. People cast Polymorph choose opposite sex then dress spell wears off etc. ATTITUDE and Dress to impress the Judges.

Fight night with different kind of tames. People put their tames vs others in a fight night. I did one once with chickens--everyone can tame and train a chicken.

UO comedy night all jokes in a stand up routine must be UO based.

I haven't read all the ideas, but here is one:

Two teams, one city. Fight for "control" of a small town such as Skara Brae. Best fun I ever had was when two guilds warred over Ocllo. many of the players weren't exactly professional PvPers, just average players fighting for fun

Since warring guilds can fight anywhere you can do it in trammel too.

Another idea:

Catch the thief. Have a team of hunters, carrying certain items in their bag that the thief can steal (non-insurable items such as band-aids, gold, etc), track and kill the thief or thieves. The thieves on the other-hand, are trying to steal specific items carried by the hunters. The hunters' goal is to catch and kill the thief or thieves before all items are stolen.

You could organize this event in such a way as when a hunter loses items to a thief, they are out for the round. Or they can remain in the field.

Again, since guilds and guild-wars have free range, this can also be done in trammel.

One is a armor design contest . I asked the EM if he would be one of the judges.

Mule Fight Club:

House with four floors of maybe same wall layout on each. Teleporters for each floor from front.

Furny and cloth dye tubs locked down on each floor.

Small bag on each floor with same count of cloth wood ingots granite leather sand. Also add in some oddities for the imagination that cannot be crafted. House deco tool.



Contest: Four contestants(crafters) are friended to the house and assigned a floor. Time limit for working. Judges brought in to award there points. Clear and restock for next four. Could have a craft off with top four at end with new material count and goods.

Europa auction does a cool cow tipping race event u simple dbl clik the cow untill it falls over first person to tip it over so many times wins...Good fun an easy to set up.Also on Europa we have done some hide an seek a few times lately where someone hides then pops out clues to where they are in chat-kind of "eye spy" like.Whoever finds em winsa prize, again very easy set up and good fun Scavenger hunts usually go fairly well and any kind of foot race is pretty fun usually and depending where the race is can be quite challenging.could do a boat race even have cords to next location in the race handed out at each point or an item for the racers to pick up at each point and whoever gets to finish with the all the items fist wins...little more set up to that one ofc. I've always enjoyed poping a bunch of harbingers at my house then start a gate to luna and say in chat that the Anti Good Vendors Union is trying to tear down my shop again! Usually people swarm though to help and get their chance at a conj garb.. a bit more costly option due to the yellow crystals price but good fun and a chance at a very nice robe for any who come to help defend your homestead!

Just made me think of the hedge maze spot, between Britain and Skara Brae if I remember correctly. They could do a similar event there with released tames or even other players.

Or could be a chase, player(s) getting a short head start before others going after them.

Of course, knowledge of the maze might make that a bit of a problem and teleporting would have to be prohibited.
