The Japanese website? Hmmm... Glad they got notification/info. And we didn't - why?According to the Japanese website:

my initial thought is to instill fear into us; so we remember it is they who are in charge, and not we.. the people that pay them.. >.> Meow? The Japanese website? Hmmm... Glad they got notification/info. And we didn't - why?
UO.com announced the publish 4 hours before the Japanese website and the patches are directly related to the changes mentioned on that announcement, basically cliloc entries for New Haven Mine, tameable Turkey and removal of the quotation marks of the sos message Galen mentioned before. I guess Tim Chappell forgot to mention about the patches, apart from that, we got the notification and the info hours before. The Japanese website? Hmmm... Glad they got notification/info. There is nothing in that regarding ANY shards - other than Origin and Izumo.Publish 79 will be on Origin and Izumo after tomorrow’s maintenance. In an effort to get more feedback from all our players, we will be sending publishes to both Origin and Izumo shards.

No warning or info?
And since when were patches applied just to the clients of those we play specific shards? And exactly where in there does it include Pacific?
When they want to "test" the patches? I am only quoting what they are saying:And since when were patches applied just to the clients of those we play specific shards?
Well yes, and therefore all clients have to be patched to take into account the minor cliloc changes that have occurred; they don't know that you are not going log on to TC, Origin or Izumo, just like when the publish hit TC we got a very large patch. I am/have been very critical of the Devs' communications in recent times, but this just seems a minor issue. They forgot to put the "cliloc changes" note on the Herald but it seemed fairly obvious that the patch was related to the minor changes in the publish. When they want to "test" the patches? I am only quoting what they are saying:
