You may have noticed the announcement/notice thingy up top of the forums for Extra Life.
I'm here to expand on it a little, and put on my bets Jimmy Wales stare and ask for support
The very bones of Extra Life is that people play games for 24 hours straight, and people sponsor them for it.
Kind of like a sponsored walk, but without the walking.
The proceeds then go to one of the Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
This is where the meaningful stare comes in.
On the 18th October, staff from here on Stratics, and over on our sister network TGN, will be holding a leveling race, in Guild Wars 2 and World of Warcraft. At the end of the 24 hours, the winner will be crowned "The Winner", and the loser may be subject to some penalty involving dancing.
And this is where you all come in.
The first, and most obvious way you can help would be to hop on over to the team page (link) and sponsor one of us. It doesn't have to be a lot, but it would mean a lot.
If money's tight, or you otherwise lack inclination, that's fair. There's plenty of other ways you can support us.
Spreading the news, even at this late hour, could never hurt.
Or, you could tune in on the day. Several of the participants will be streaming their sessions, so you can always stop by and watch them, give them a little encouragement or advice to help them on their way (I don't have a list of who's doing it, and the addresses currently).
