How do I make a macro in game to type in gen chat rather then outloud

Add /c to the beginning of the statement so that it's "/c Whatever you say here".

At least in the EC, /c goes to global chat and /s goes to overhead

when you want to use the paste macro copy a comma.

U mean just copy and paste into game every time I want to say it or into my UO options to create a macro?

yes in your options add a macro. Look for the word paste on the menu.
and yes copy in from note pad , (space) what u want to say.
You only have to copy it everytime you long in on that char
