And in 3d... But what was that huge dragon in the corner? I've not see that artwork before...
Incidentally, I quickly made a throwaway character on Great Lakes as someone told me the event was happening, hence the messy desktop as I ran from the Britain starting point to the Castle; and I must say, the quietness and politeness of the shard was pretty impressive... on Europa we've got some incredibly immature and greedy players, who would have drowned the event out, and it made me feel somewhat ashamed to see the contrast.

GL and Origin's done, Atlantic's tomorrow (Sunday) at 8pm. I do believe Europa and Lake Austin is Sunday too, not sure what time though. Recieved a nice Replica of King Blackthorn's Throne Deed. I found this info on UOGuide, they only listed the 5 shards.

I think most events have been posted per shard, yes.
The Sherry Statues on Europa have also been warning of it since yesterday... fingers crossed most can make it who want too, but the reward was from a statue in the usual little EM hidey-hole, so there may be duplicates on each shard for those who want a piece of history; I know I'll try and run a few alts in to collect for my friends who can't be there, as no doubt will those after a profit, but oh well.
Actually, in the GL story, all of the allies of Britannia (Main good characters) were in attendance. The Platinum dragon was an attendee (Since they were our allies agains the Crimson Dragons). Also in attendance were people such as Avery, Ricardo, Sherry ect.

Every shard has an EM Forum for events, some shards also use a website + the UO facebook will put alot of shard events on their schedule. Also there of course are the ingame methods, such as town criers, ect.Sorry if I haven't been paying close enough attention, but exactly where can I find announcements regarding Blackthorn's visits?

I hope to livestream from Europa tonight, but I'm rather novice at livestreaming, so no promises.
It is possible that Blackthorn's sojourn with Exodus may have modified his philosophy a bit. I think maybe protestors should bide their time and observe for a while?

There's been no specific indication that (this) Blackthorn is evil other than the throne. Indeed on GL the Event Moderators have gone out of their way, through use of GL-specific things, to show him as both good and effective, hence his winning over my character despite extreme skepticism.
My guess on the throne is that someone drew it, thought it looked wicked kewl, and patched it in on that basis alone.

I'll save my Hails for now. Until I find out more about the "new " Blackthorn and how he feels about The Virtues now.
Well having just witnessed a wave of protest on Europa, and myself declaring that Chaos, even in it's benign form in the shape of an uncorrupted Blackthorn is not the history nor the soul of these lands, I think I can safely say that whoever was at the helm of our Blackthorn is in for a tough time!
Also, so many people were there, both legitimate, and greedy that we saw our old friend the Telestorming gump and the Britain sub-server became to unstable for anyone to log into it without being instantly moved!

I dont care about most shards! Just LS, when is ours???? Its not in the ingame news or the em website. Seems like there should be a lot of preparation for such a large event.
I also would like one of those thrones!
Now if only my char looked as good.

Hopefully we'll see more of the original cast of characters make appearances as well in the near future: Spark, Iolo, Shamino, Mariah etc. I imagine Spark is all grown up by now.
Seeing Blackthorn and Dupre brings back the feeling and memories I had when I first started playing the Ultima Series which is a good thing.
Good to see them back in the mix...

Nice touch in the throne design in place of the usual instruments of war depicted with rulers. British always carried the sword and shield at public appearances. On one hand life and healing, the other death and loss, the ruler as arbiter. The throne design and the presence of Danica and Dupre also reflect the comment of things to come made at the coronation about doing things in threes (like Arthur Clarke's Ramans).
That sucks.. he'd look a lot better with an "Arrow of the Traitor" sticking outta his back..
Better make sure you always set his scared behind to "Invunerable" because the resistance is out to get him..

Spark was the little blonde kid with the slingshot from Ultima 7. His father is murdered and begs the Avatar to join the cause so he can avenge his father.

All those characters really are the heart and soul of UO.
Budo is another character I remember and the legendary City of Dawn.
Ultima has alot of legends and lore that make it unique.
Yesterday: Coronation on Drachenfels. Everything went smoothly, but then a group of uniformed people entered the throne room, named LBR. They yelled "LORD BRITISH FOREVER" and demonstrated at the left side of the red carpet. It was incredibly funny and a really nice RP-Add-On to this event.
Thanks for your protest, let´s hope the new monarch noticed it and remembers that there is much skepticism amongst his subjects...

Yeah, it was cool to see the pro Blackthorn people on the right side, and the anti's on the left side.
6 uniformed Chars, all named "LBR Forever" and dressed identicaly just stand there in war mode with their bardiches acting like they just wait for Blackthorn to apear and jump him on sight hahahaha - they didnt say nothing until Dupre apeared to start the coronation ceremony - all of the sudden they started the yelling and got others into it to realy form some kind of "civil" protest to show their disgust as a group.
It was a little bit annoying but they stoped as Dupre demanded silence to speak up - nice to see they havent been up to destroy the coronation but just to let everybody know they dont like Blackthorn as new King - i have seen other events people forming protest and spammed the hole screen and chat so nobody could enjoy the event.
So my tumbs up to this kind of protest which was organized as well as the coronation itselfe - not destroying anything just giving it a "special" note...
To bad i forgot to do screenshots of that little Protestors gang hehe - but you can see them on Petra's video...
