Whining about masks please increase the drop rate??

I would realy like to see an increase in the drop rate of the masks of the killer pumpkins. I have confirmed 43 names so far and I am sure we will get to almost 60 names, with 5 types that is 300 masks to gather. In the end iin order to complete a set I am thinking will need around 600 masks this is ALOT.

The rate I am seeig them drop is less than 20% sooo I think it would be really nice if they would get a bump up to around 50%.

As it is all I will be doing for the forseable future is wandering pumpkin fields to obtain my goal of anothe full set this time from 2012.

I agree with Merus. The drop rate of the Masks are fine as it stands now. The spawn timer on the pumpkins is another matter entirely. Way, way, way, WAY too slow. I can clear all the fields in West Brit farms and only have 6-8 of the pumpkins respawned when I am done. Last year it seemed to be get one of those fields cleared and 5-6 would already be spawned.

I think someone got their decimal in the wrong spot in the chance to spawn a killer pumkin... something along the lines of should have been a 5.0% chance but instead we got a 0.50% chance.

I have killed 368 Killer Pumpkins and received a total of 176 masks. That is pretty much a 50% drop rate.

I guess if you are on a high pop shard, then what you really need is a faster spawn rate as others have said.

It's best to do the hunting with a necro, and summon horde minions. After the minion reaches capacity, release and recast.

Clearing the pumpkins will cause more to spawn quickly, rather than passive despawn & respawn (which will typically result in the one killer you did being replaced by a normal pumpkin). In some cases, it appears that even just picking up and piling the pumpkins off the plot isn't allowing respawn the way that simply deleting them does.

Another option for non-necros would be a tame goat, and manually picking up and dropping the pumpkins onto the goat.

The drop rate is too high, it needs to be lower. I have 48 masks from 70 pumkins

I can't agree more. Three hours of pumpkin clearing for one killer spawn is just way too low

OK more pumpkins or more masks per pumpkins doesnt really matter - 4 Masks in a hour of consistanly farming Occolo fields is kinda ridiculous.

At that rate will take over 700 hours of farming to complete a set - this cannot even be accomplished in the month allowed unless you farmed 24 hours a day for the entire month. Now wounder people are tempted to cheat.

On a side thought any migrant UO players out there wana harvest pumpkins for me??

The key to get many masks is not to stay at one field. Just move around all fields to seek out the killer pumpkins. And do that in both Trammel and Felucca.

I start to think that clearing the fields of normal pumpkins is not important but more how many killer pumpkins are around in all fields in the world. I noticed when there are no killer pumpkins on Trammel side that there many to be found in fields in Felucca.

Sometimes it pays to take a risk.

I'm getting about 15-20 killer pumpkins and masks a hour with going to all fields in both Trammel and Felucca.

Jesus I've got almost 1k masks now. Who in the world needs all this crap? I like the new masks. I want all of them of course, but you know how many masks does a person need?
