Any expert fishers here? Apparently fishing is very lucrative
Never. Those vendors with a constant supply of hundreds of crabs and Lobsters are ligit.
I guess it all comes down to what is it that can be macroed (attended / unattended) that makes a lot of gold. Any number crunching? are we talking 5 mil a day or something ridiculous?
is it a 120 fisherman that is needed? 50 skill? Details from the pros!
very easy to script multiple accounts to farm fish and sell them off slowly, unattended or attended. there are spots that never run out of fish, or that rarely do by the time you do a bank/trash run.

Fishing is not very (or at all) profitable until you reach about 90 skill. Thats when the MIBs and good stuffs start coming. I found my 1st yellow polka dot bikini at 100 skill and that fetched a very fair price on the market. I will say this though, i never have and i never will fish for profit. I think most fishers will agree with me when i say: We don't do it for the money, we do it because it is one of the most peaceful and entertaining professions in the game...plus you will never run out of footwear. Anyhow, if you are looking for a gold farm, look elsewhere.

Very cool but I believe the party is over and people are already farming the **** out of it. I believe what Sativa Green suggested to be very possible with what he scripters are doing today. I doubt its something related to MIBs or something that can spawn powerful monsters but I believe it's in everyone's best interest to get it stopped. (hence the brain storm)
No if you want to see scripters just go to GL's Tokuno Bank and wait.... you'll see him 24/7 recalling in and out... sometimes he's attended usually he's not. He got a bit smarter after a few of us just kept dropping bagballs on his recall spot but you'll see him soon enough he's always there recalling in and out ever few seconds.

I have spent a whole lot of time fishing (when I had the time.... no scripting here...) and never found nowhere any spot with unlimited fishes to fish up. nor did I find any fellow fisherman mentioning any such spots. Did you just hear that from someone or did you actually experienced any of these spots yourself?
If you see this miner go to fell minoc mines to the right of town he will recall in there all the time, too lazy to change mining spots must have killed him hundreds of times now.

i've experienced them myself. most spots do run out but by the time you get back from banking fish and trashing shoes they are back up. takes some time to find them, but they're out there.
Well, folks, I fish up 100 "messages in a bottle" a week. I usually get 4-5 white messages in that group. On the weekend, I sail around and collect the chests. I can make between 2 to 2 1/2 million in gold and I sell the rarer items from the chests on my vendor. Lets remember that with High Seas the chest loot went from 1000-4000 gold to 10000- 40000 gold per chest depending on the level of the the chest. Selling the grapevines, bows, bronzed armor, kelp leggings and the various kinds of nets, nets me a pretty profit.
Yup.. I make more money on MiB's than I do on selling my surplus fish and crabs.. But even selling my surplus brings me a million a week or so.. Not huge money by most people's standards but my fisherman, Ezekial, sure doesn't walk around poor..
It's not much but thanks to the "Return to Brit" program, I have 2 keeps I am willing to dispose of and maybe a few more items. I don't think these are worth as much as they used to but 1 is a Fel Pac Keep and the other is a Chessy Tram one. Both are up for grabs (to different people) who can keep giving information on fishing and how to make lots of gold from as easily as possible =) I also have a few other items available on Atlantic for runner ups.

The most profitable is getting the 120 Fishing scroll and selling that... Though it takes tons of hours fishing up that one fish that seems to be in all of your orders (mine seems to be the Crag Snapper). Im up to 148 quests (since I started keeping count) and only one 110 scroll. I am sitting at 109.3 skill, so I am getting close to needing that 115/120.
There is also the void crab which is rather rare and you could sell that for a hefty profit.
As mentioned MiBs are your "fast" money maker in fishing.

Okay making money on fishing, I will say i dont do it to make the money but it comes anyways. I have 120 fishing on my fisherman, she fishes in every facet, both dungeon and shore and deep, she crabs fishes and i sell it all on a vendor to other players, and i make a ton of gold that way. I fish the sos for myself and the colored nets, they are all placed on floor at my home for decoration. The MIBs i just love pulling them up and i keep all the stuff to supply my other crafters, unravel the loot etc. Fishing fuels a lot of my other crafting and it is very very profitable. You get gold, leather, gems, unraveled items, fish to sell, fish for trophies, fish and crabs for turn in program for boat, its nameless. I hope this helps you out.

MiBs are indeed the big money maker, as the White scrolls also summon the Osireadon who has some even bigger ticket items on him if you're lucky (Single square Soulforge being the most desired, goes for around 65m or so if you can get it, but odds are very, very low)... so we can try and calculate the reward tables; you will see that the fishing quests themselves are hardly what you would call generous, so I'd wager if anyone is scripting fishing, they're doing it to sell the fish or collect MiBs as suggested...
