Lava Elemental Change - Intended or Unintended?

I have not hunted lava elementals in a while. The last time I did they were a bright orange and looked like lava. Picture of what they look like now....

This color change was pointed out to GrimmOmen at one point. He said that it was not intended and that he would look into it. Then he was effectively fired for living on the West Coast. Oh well.

Never saw that he said that, thanks. And yeah, was sad to see him go, but at least he was able to stay on for a while after their move to Va.

He had a lot of years to look into a lot of things and failed to accomplish those too before he was terminated.

Mystic Stone Form has had a colour change as well, seems they are using some of the hues from the metallic dye tub.

The scorpions in Cavern of Discarded also got hit by this hue change.

They changed a few publishes back. not too thrilled with the color.
I think it was a bad move to axe Grim.... he knew what he was doing at least... this new guy has a mighty big pair of shoes to fill and he best get to it. I am a patinet woman but I do have my limits .....hint hint

Agreed. I was scratching my head as well when Lady Storm made that post.

TBH, seeing as the majority of art that UO receives is actually outsourced, and as little in the way of new art UO receives compared to pretty much any other online, I often questioned what Grimm managed to do for 40 hours a week. I know I was not the only one who thought that, either.

I can personally think of graphical things that I would believe are more important, though. The way certain graphics do not align in houses, for example. Or art tile sets that are still left unfinished. Male paperdolls. Heck, the fur cape and a few other art items have had placeholder art in the Classic Client for almost a decade.
