Hello Siege!
A few months ago we had a community meet and greet to discuss shard events and the sorts of things you would like to see happen on Siege. Trying to sort good times to host events is an ongoing process that I mentioned could be adjusted to try and fit at least the majority of players.
The weekends around 2 or 3 pm EDT seems to allow for players in England and other European countries towards the evening while keeping it midday in North America. That has been a general rule of thumb for me while factoring in basically the entire globe since Siege is such a unique shard with awesome players from all over.
Without getting into a geographic lesson, I know that during the week with work and life this becomes more of a challenge. 5pm EDT makes it a bit later in the evening on the other side of the globe but may be a bit too early in the US, just getting home from work or school or not even out yet on the western coast.
I read the discussion on Siege forums and wanted to explain the odd times but more important to get your input. These events are for you and within reason my goal is to adjust my schedule to make it more enjoyable.
The question I put to you is, by hosting weekend events at 2pm EDT and 5pm EDT during the week, where does that put you in the timeline where you live? The more feedback I get the better I can take another look and maybe adjust things for future events.
