So maybe I'm not crazy. I could have swore I refreshed my boat 3 days before and it was gone when I went to check on it. I was so mad at myself for losing a boat I paid money for. Maybe it wasn't my fault after all.

Seems some boats go poof way too early.. I have bought 2 characters of my sons the new boats for his use. Both were in the water at the same time and refreshed by me one right after the other.... I do it on my fish feeding and plant watering trips evry other day.... One boat is fine,,, the other........ poof I tried it a second time.... same thing the one would be great the other in under 3 days would go poof. Tried other accounts nope boats fine... tried old boats.... fine but the minute i give him on his fisher a new boat and place it.... the darn thing disapears in a few days. Mind you the other new ship is still up and running......... I wonder if it is something to do with the account it self...

Those of you spending the $13 or $10 or whatever on the Brit ships, why aren't you complaining to EA? If you're losing money due to a bug, you all need to complain to somebody.
Agree its Tokuno ships , but I dont put it past all the new ships aswell.
The loss of quests and resources stopped after the first 2 ships went poof. I stopped doing them cause of the ship poofing. On the bright side I got a nice bunch of fish and things for when its fixed... and I restart the questing.

My UO hubby, and I keep our boats behind my castle. I refreshed both boats for the night hid and logged off on my UO hubby's boat. Next day my boats gone I know I refreshed it, because I jump on my boat then jump to his boat Plus it was just somewhat worn. Then I remembered something I was told
A GM will move your boat if someone pages that your boat is blocking the location. Remembering this I log on the character that I placed the boat with, clicked on the boat rune in my runebook , and was teleported to my boat. I asked my UO hubby if he used my boat he didn't. I'm not accusing a GM of moving it just letting you know what I heard. I could of had it set up to where anyone could control it. LOL

I too have lost boats way to early.
With the quests being such a pain I put fishing on a stone and it will sit there till these bugs get fixed.. Stupid fishing suit

Ya stopped putting guns on the boat or using the hold to store things. Just wave at the ocean baddies and leave them in my wake. Just go to the seafare docks. Now there is some serious herd thinning going on now. No longer a rat maze to stear through to get to the quester.
Let us verify. When you say you are refreshing your boats, are you just recalling to them or actually exiting or entering via the ropes? Just recalling to them will not refresh them. You must use the ropes to exit or enter the ship in order to refresh it. For old fashioned ships, you must open the gang plank.

I've been refreshing them the same way for months. In one of my houses, in front of 2 Fountains of Life (the bandage ones) there are 2 runes locked down. One for each of my ships. I use the same character to recall to each. From there, I mouse over the tiller man- check the status- double click a rope- mouse back over the tiller man to verify it refreshed.

Don't get offended. You'd be surprised at how often a little detail like using the rope gets overlooked. What's more you stated you've lost several boats. I've never lost a ship where I didn't know what the reason for losing it was. Did you try what Lady Michelle suggested?
1. I tried recalling off the rune. Well, actually, it's not possible since the runes are now blank.
2. There is no reason for a GM to move the ships.
3. Yes, having lost ships before, I checked 3 screens in each direction where I had them parked.
Where exactly were your ships parked when they went missing?
Sorry to hear of vanishing ships in the night, NuSair. Been refreshing the Tok, orc and Brit ships by recalling aboard and double clicking on the tillerman. You'll get a message "Your ship's age and contents have been refreshed". Haven't tried the rope method.

Hmmm, no teleportation issues like you might encounter by the Dock City. Next question I have is this: if your ship is demolished by pirates, do the ruins continue to stick around or do they decay? I personally am aware of an incident on Pacific where someone lured a pirate ship to the Trinsic docks and got said pirate to destroy a ship belong to someone they weren't fond of. I personally saw the wreckage and went and got my own ship to destroy and loot the pirates. The next day the ship wreckage was gone. I had always assumed the victim had come, repaired his ship, and dry docked it, but is it possible wreckage decays and vanishes? If this is the case, could it be you are the victim of the lurer?
I'm plum out of ideas as to why this could logically happen.

Sorry for your loss.I am kinda dumbfounded on why the decay for boats and houses are not the same ( new boats .... ). I have lost now 2 orc ships in the past year, and it is very very annoying. Also it would be nice if someone could clean up the security menu on the new ships, make it some what intuitive to use.....

My Brittannia Galleon went *poof* overnight some months ago, GM was worse than useless (as expected, yet to have one be of any use at all), bug email resulted in no help whatsoever, just another nail in the coffin.

Boy does that saying cover this boat bit. I use both the ropes and the tillerperson to confirm the refresh and boats get done on a daily basis when I water plants, feed fsih etc...
Son's char has "lost" 3 ships - 2 tokuno, 1 Orc. All three my char (the repair flunky) is co'ed to all boats so he can fix em up. Sooo when I pop on his char Yanaki's boat the Black Pearl its fine but when I pop to Sarah's his fisher's boat....no go.... Now I know I have refreshed it but no sign of the Queen Ann's Revenge. I get on his char and do the total hunt and peck for the boat...... harbot master, nope ... runes on other chars... nope ... ok this is getting old.
Boats dont just vanish.. it was set to only crew entry so only his owner and my repair tech could get on it...... It should be parked right where he left it. Nope.
I did want to get a big Gallion but....... if its gunna eat the boat at first water drop forget about it~ to quote that cute gecko.
Till further notice I have picked up all boats new and old. I will use and then store them after so till this is fixed no over nighters. Puts a big dent in the quest doing....
