Hello everybody. I didn't play a lot in the last months, I tried in these days the new faction point system.... it's a useless thing....who made this? it's silly....
It would be ok if all the shards would be populated, so you actually can kill somebody and you get points ....and you can use faction horses or pay a proper amount of silver for the artifacts.
The problem is that many shards , for example Europa , aren't so populated of faction fighters.... I tried in these days to play for 5 or 6 consecutive hours and I didn't meet a single factioner to kill....and if I see one ofc he escapes in panic and he'd never fight against me, I could get a fight if I am lucky and I find 3-4 ppl vs me alone but it's clearly difficult ....I should play whole days to find these groups....
The only way to make faction points on not very populated shards is to steal SIGILS omg???? it's a stupid thing.....
To be honest you have made this system to avoid trammelites to wear faction artifacts without doing pvp. This was the MAIN reason...but it's stupid...they can steal sigils , NEVER DOING PVP, and they have more points then ppl who actually try to kill other players!!!! what kind of idiot system is this????
If you wanna be smart, but I doubt you will ever read the opinion of a pker since 1997 ( ie yes I kill ppl since 15 years on ultima online, it's a glacial era....) you should:
make factioners able to kill themselves also in trammel..... everywhere, in all dungeons even....and let REDS go to trammel only if they are in factions.... and they can kill all the factioners they want
or
second solution :in trammel faction artifacts drop and you cannot use them....and delete this new system you created, it's AWFUL.
P.s. also losing one point per day if not playing is silly, due the facts it's difficult to find ppl to kill...
I understand on shards like Atlantic but not on less populated shards which are the majority.
I think this game needs a good revamp for factions.... possibility to create capture the flag competitions, capture the base etc....the old sigil system is useless and should be totally changed.... It would be funny if faction guilds could bet a certain amount of gold or items ....for example a SL Guild X bets 100 mils gold that 20 factioners cannot steal the SL base if 5 X players are defending....to partecipate you need to cover the bet of 100 mils...so COM Guild y would bet 100 mils, just 20 players of them can enter...and if they lose, they lose the gold.... Things like this....it would be funny in my opinion.
A revamp to faction is necessary. But you need pvpers to do it and not trammelites.
I would also be happy to see COUNSELOURS coming back to this game. They were the best figure to help new players , who wanted to start playing ultima.
Counselours are a ZERO COST way to get more money, because you gonna have more happy subscribers, plus you would make happy certain expert players who are playing this game since 15 - 14 years..... and they would be rlly happy to help out new players who want to join UO ( more ppl to pk or kill in the future...)
