Can either of you explain the process of what you have to do so that you get to this final fight?

Get in the dungeon and find the ankh and double click it. Select a creature to train up then select it via the ankh.

Right click the orb when your ready (I was level 10) and choose to conscript it. When the next call to arms is up it will warn you then teleport you down.

Make your way to the island and then take out the boss.

There was 3 of us and it did take a while. Spells just landed me right next to him and any summons were instant dispels.

While training I was a stealth mage, so when wondering around nothing locked on to me, only the pet which was nice

Do the pets have to get the final hit like when they are leveling?

Or can we just do damage with them?

Fight with them is fine but they learn better when you only heal them.

When you get down to the boss make sure your pet is set to "aggressive". Let it engage with the boss guy then stand back and heal.
