I've been pretty up-front about my opinion of the new dungeon re-vamps.. Some dungeons I never went to anyway and those were cool.. but some like Shame, Covetious, and Despise.. I did go to a lot.

As you all know I took it in stride and bitched a little but kept playing.. of course.

Several of the regulars here mentioned that there were other places you could hunt the same spawn..

Like the mine northwest of Sacrifice shrine in Illshenar.. Earth elementals and ratmen..-

Much more fun than Shame was with just Earthies..
So maybe the dungeon revamps had a side effect.. got some old people like me out looking at new places to hunt.
Gotta admit I been having more fun than usual since I was kinda forced to go play in areas I've ignored...

That mine was the 1st place I went to specifically hunt for paragons (earth eles who can also have a chest)

try the area outside the mine on Homare too, earth eles and yamotsu warriors, or just inside the mine, earths and dull coppers. You might even get crystalline blackrock off the dulls.
Many people dismiss Tokuno as a hunting area, but I love it. Spawn is steady and plentiful, though needs a little care not to get overwhelmed. Learn where the ninja spawn and either avoid those areas or be prepared for the surprise of one popping up beside you. For people who prefer not to fight spellcasters there's a nice wide range of opponents from lizardmen, through kappa and tsuki wolves to fandancers, ronin and elite ninja and including the two forms of hiryu

Yeah having the Ratmen Archers and Mages jumping in with the Earthies and the occasional Paragon makes it way more fun..

I really was cheating myself outta some fun stuff being so set in my ways..

I'll explore that area for sure Petra.. I'm wondering how many other good spots I never tried?..

there are alsp tsuki wolves and bake kitsune the other way down that road. They are tougher, but as I advanced, I liked to hunt there as well

:) I get all over the map to be honest, but most of the time I'm alone, so the things I've missed out on are peerless and champs :( I'm not a good enough player to solo those. I haven't even dared to try Navrey yet.

I too hunt on my own alot of the time. I am not good enough to solo any of those either except Navery and also Miasma is exciting. You should try them.

She is slow enough to stay away from and there is a fun little puzzle in the room that if you figure it out deals alot of damage to her.

They would be wise to roll out the new loot system to ALL spawn that would really get people out to some of these remote areas. Right now old loot doesn't look so good after seeing the loot from the new system.

Wow that Miasma is fast...
yes,

You need a good strategy and even then I end up running out the door for my life.

can drop treasure chest with level 4-5 map thougth so it is worth it.

I miss the overland spawn of ore elementals from that one event (Was it the candle of love or the book of truth?) It was fun having a bunch of combat miners and their fire beetles leading the charge...

Sorry but I'm still peeved about despise... don't like it don't care for it think it ruined a great place for young characters to work up their skills... and now they get left with squat and stuck going to the outer nether regions of the game FAR from somewhere to get a rez and other stuff so no I don't like it and NO I'm not going to like it...

Dev posted in another thread that they are going to open up a mine outside of NH with elementals for newbies. Sounds cool.

I sure hope so... lizardmen are awesome too... and I sure hope the spawn rate isn't insanely slow.

Still wouldn't go so far as to say I'm happy about it either..
But it sure wasn't a deal breaker for me.. there's still so many places I haven't hung around much since they came out and I went once just to take a look.
But then I've always been a "bottle still half full" kinda guy.
