Building a support character, looking for advice!

So I'm trying to build a support character that I can run from my second laptop. I've done this before and if I'm quick enough it means I can heal and what have you a little faster. I'm not sure it would work with a sampire, but it benefited tamer a bit before.

So, I'm wondering what sort of template would be useful.

Some ideas I had:
-hiding/stealthing for protecting at champs and hanging out in a corner for rezzes
-magery for rezzes, greater heal, cure..
-med
-music/Provo for bardic mastery (is there any point to being higher than gm for bbardic masteries?)
-80 animal lore and vet for rezzing mounts.

oOther ideas or suggested templates? This character will only be used for supporting me/my party

I use my mystic SW Bard to back up my sampire, make Medusa ALOT easier.

Since Sampire basically can just swing away I use the Bard to disco, Mystic to cleanse winds, and in the end some WOD to finish her off. This temp supports Every type of fight tamers / archers / dexers. and can go out solo if eeded.

eval 105

dont really need the eval didnt even see it actuallt will prov add provo and a 15 provo jewel so it wil be 120 so i can use inspire also

This!! (though my bard runs magery/med) You can put justice on the bard and use him as a protector, but the added ability to disco your target and the effect of the bard song are outstanding.

Pure bard Gargoyle mystic is pretty sick when you have that colossus out.

Or Pure Bard with magery and spellweaving is pretty sick too.

That is how I would do it on a second computer. I would suggest spell weaving for gift of renewal. don't forget to make this one your protector

The other posts are fine for the same computer. I almost always run two accounts and the mystic is great for one of the characters. It gets rough running three accounts at the sometime though.

Thanks for the feedback guys, that really gives me some stuff to think about. 2 questions:
1. Does anyone use vet/animal lore so they can rez sampire's dead swampies?
2. Is bardic still useful if I only use Music + one other? I like the idea of using a mystic, but the problem is that then I don't have magery to rez with, and I'm almost certain that's going to be an important aspect... I like to die a lot.

If you go with just Music and Disco, the bard song is pretty useless (IMO), but the ability to discord whatever you are fighting will make a huge difference. You can still get the Discord Mastery for the success chance boost though. There are a couple of bonuses for having additional bard skills over 100 skill: lower upkeep cost for the songs, better effects for the songs, and a success chance bonus if I remember correctly. Personally as a support character I would do one or the other (Music+Disco or Full Bard) and not worry about trying to add just one additional bard skill. If you want to go the Mystic route one thought would be:

120 Music
120 Disco
120 Magery (less if your account is not 4 years old since this will be a primarily defensive skill)
120 Spellweaving
120 Mysitc
120 Focus

As for the swampie... I always log instantly if my sampire happens to die in order to keep my swampie from dieing... but that happens a lot less when he is under the effect of the bard song

I have a couple, depending on what I need it for.
If your doing champs I run a stealth Mage with detect and tracking.
That way u can find hidden peeps.

If its a boss or tram side Pvm then I run a pure bard.

If ts just pure farming and I need a loot wagon then it's a hide Mage on a pack beetle.

Means anyone in your party is capped against HLD effects....

The 30% Damage reduction.... If you ride swampy..... Just try it hehe.
