Pub 78... WOO HOO!

I don't generally wax ecstatic here (I don't generally wax here at all), but a couple things in PUB 78 are AMAZING! They have added slots and capacity to the seed boxes, which will make them actually USEFUL for holding seed sets (one can only hope that they have also made the filling/moving process a bit easier... but you takes what you can gets). AND, it was like the Dev team read my mind (or my post in a thread asking for holiday suggestions). We now have stewards, and I can dress one up and set him on my doorstep to give out candy and goodies on Halloween!! The rest of the PUB seems great too, but THESE? WOO HOO!

I never got in the habit of working with them, because it seems like very few years they change up the items - AOS, Imbuing, more dungeon drops, etc. but I'm going to grab a few on my old shard just to have them before the publish hits.

The stewards are an interesting addition, though I don't think they go quite far enough. As they are currently, they are little more than a very fancy container, a player version of an EM item dispenser.

To be truly useful, especially to an RPer, the stewards need to be combined with the bartenders. The ability to use a keyword to hand out items is great, even better that it is one per character, but we need to be able to have the stewards talk via keyword as well. That way they can be used organically in player events, rather than having another NPC directing players to say X to the paralyzed mute in the corner.

I would like to see the barkeeps get a proper overhaul and some more options. They are terrible to work with currently (especially the UI), even just adding the text and the keywords is dreadful. I know firsthand because I created an entire quest chain using many of them for my alliance not long ago. It was a huge pain.

• Act II of the Awakening has been disabled.
• The Afflicted Gargoyles of Ter Mur have been healed.
• Seedboxes will now hold up to 300 unique seeds and 5000 total seeds.
• Rare hued vanilla plants are available from completing the Naturalist’s Quest.
• Lava Lobster traps will now retain the correct name when returned from buoy form.
• City Raiders have been added to the Brigand Fort between Yew and Britain.
• Ghosts will no longer get stuck in the Experimental Room within the Underworld
• The maximum price of an item on a player-run vendor is now 175,000,000gp
• Players who kill certain creatures in other parts of Covetous will no longer receive score credit on the Void Pool scoreboard.
• Mannequins can now wear faction armor.
