Graphic Cards online stores ?

I need a new Graphic Card to try finally use the Enhanced UO Client but since my system is old, it still carries the AGP 8X slot....... This is not the time to shop around for a whole new system for me so my only option is to upgrade my Graphic Card (I currently have a PNY GeForce 6 6600 256MB DDR, CPU is a P4 3.0). I am also getting more system memory.

I checked a few online vendors but could not really find an AGP card that I liked. I would like a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 but cannot seem to find it at a price that I could be interested since I only would need it to get me going for a year or so, I guess.....
Browsing the internet I found some old pages where a vendor carried the Sapphire a while back around 75 bucks after a 25$ rebate, a price that would be ok with me (I seem to understand that the HD 3850 is a good card...), but it is no longer in stock, unfortunately. I did find some Ebay listings for around that much used but I am not favourable to buy used computer parts.

Any idea on either more Graphic Cards online stores I could look at or other good AGP cards I could be shopping for like around 50-80$ ?

Thanks for the help.

If I had an old one I wasn't using I'd send it to ya, but I don't... Maybe somebody reading here might have one they could give or sell cheap...
Just sayin...

I don't have a spare one but I always use newegg.com, they have deals a lot on their products and you might catch one for a graphics card you like.

Google..
Really check out what you are looking for via Google's Shopping results, often you'll find a reputable vendor that's cheaper than Newegg or Tiger Direct. Depending on where you live you can also check out Microcenter, they don't ship everything but it's possible what you want can be shipped. I've even found decent Video Cards from Geeks.com from time to time at cheaper prices than Newegg and Tiger Direct.

Look at reviews on NewEgg and Amazon.com. Check the reviews on both, try to find something that has a few dozen reviews, where the reviews are at the upper end of the positives. I know customer reviews are not the best indicator, but if hardware is bad, you'll usually see people coming out of the woodwork to make their problems known.

Also the forums on Anandtech are pretty good about different types of builds and budgets - if even if you are just looking for a video card, you can find somebody wanting to accomplish something similar and see others responding.

I have been looking at newegg.com, amazon, tigerdirect.com and even used the pricewatch search engine but apparently, there just is not much around for AGP slots to choose. They have some, just not enough a variety for me to find what I would like to find (a good AGP card at a good price....).

I was surprised though by my search for an AGP card. Being nowdays an obsolete technology replaced by PCI Express, I would have thought that the old AGP cards had ended up in the convenience bin and that one could now buy cards priced hundreds of dollars a few years ago for just a few tens of dollars now. But that does not look like from what I have seen so far. Or, perhaps, there are online stores that deal with older technology at clearance prices which I have not looked at ?

What other online stores could be a good option to find a wider range of AGP Graphic Cards ?

What is your current card? I might have an old 9800 Pro laying around if that's faster than what you currently have. You won't find any vendors with a "wide" range of AGP choices. It is a long outdated technology, and companies aren't investing much in the tech side for it, instead focusing on PCIE. That's the price you pay with an old PC. Sorry.

Conversely, you could try this one from Newegg. I've had excellent luck from Newegg.

Old cars and old computers will not be on the same shelf.
More like old computers and old socks will share the same shelf.
Like an old dog I put my old system to sleep saving the power supply and massive 4G hard drive. A cure for my laziness and those songs on the drive will get transfered. If your modem is bigger then an 8 track tape case which mine was, a new one that can't cook an egg makes a diff.

Side note your running a better system then I am and EC is all that I been running for well, from the start of EC. Falls back on ammount of crap in a bucket and two cans and a string issues. Fastest exotic car has only dirt firebreaks to get around, don't blame the car.

Can't honestly think of any you haven't already tried. I highly suggest just biting the bullet and upgrading your hardware so you can use PCIE, saves yourself some trouble from having to do it later on if you want to get a video card in the future. You don't have to go all the way to the most up-to-date but you can definitely get yourself some older motherboards that can accept PCIE.
