Just wondering what everone really expects.
hehe more likely it is false Advertising when it is all said and done.Advertising.
My sentiments exactly.To be honest?
Not much. The day will come and go, as it so often does.
Perhaps we may see a small article on a few of the online blog/ news sites discussing how UO reached its 15 years. The forums on their sites will have posters in awe saying that they are surprised UO is still going or how they miss the glory days of UO.
Mesanna and Jeff will say something perhaps. A small 'happy birthday'. In the past the UO team (including the producers) have forgotten when the birthday was. They probably will not this year, but the UO track record is not stellar so I would not be surprised.
There are a few gifts, pixel crack, to choose from. That is nice I suppose if you like that thing. And some do.
There will be no big announcement like some players expect (sorry, Woodsman). The game as you know it is in little more than maintenance mode.
I fully expect to finally close accounts barring some unforeseen announcement. My remaining friends in game will be given my in game possessions to keep. I would love to know that something important will happen with UO, but 2012 was a (imo) less than stellar year for UO. In fact, dare i say its been one of the worst in my 13 years as a paying customer. The lack of communication (which oddly our producer Jeff prides himself on) has been abysmal. Like... worse than Cal abysmal. There is no news coming out regarding anything that might revitalize the game, and I honestly do not wish to waste 30 dollars a month on something I do not even log in to play.
I come on here almost every day and see the same posters essentially making the same arguments they have for years. Nothing has changed, yet people still hold onto the slimmest of hope it will. Quite some time ago I posted that I wanted to wait until the anniversary. I still do. As of now, though, I have nothing that I feel that tethers me to want to participate in the UO world, let alone give my money to a group of people that by and large ignore their playerbase.
There are still players out there that enjoy the game, that enjoy what they have. And that is great... I am merely not one of them. I'm a customer, and to be quite honest the past few have been nothing short of terrible service.
