Just get it over with so they can put out a real event. Something like the Ophid Invasion. A ittle RNG luck goes way farther then making UO play a second job. And they better not pull a "we Dumb" and give everyone that made a half effort and above a reward. Stick to your guns and not insult the players.
All right. Don't take this personally, but you can speak for yourself about a "real event." I had to smile a little when I first stocked up on ingredients. This was a clever way to get players to visit certain game locations, or to grow certain plants.
Also, as far as randomness, no way. NO WAY. This would be completely unfair to those of us who took the rules at face value, turning in as many potions as we can to have a top ranking.
* The more preparations that are turned in, the higher the ranking when rewards are distributed.
* There are four rewards available in both human and gargoyle versions where applicable. The type of reward you receive is based on the race of the player who turns in the preparations.
* It is possible to get all four rewards if you are among the top contributors during the event and any combination thereof (Tier 3, 2, and 1, or Tier 2 and 1, or Tier 1 only).
* It is also possible to not receive anything if your contributions are not on par with the distribution of other contributors.
If it had been mentioned at the beginning that randomness could be a factor, no one among current top contributors would have put in this effort. After all the work we've put in, randomness would be a slap in the face, giving better rewards for less effort
despite the rules set forth at the start, not to mention bad precedent. This isn't the 10-day Ricardo thing or the ophidians, which had multiple chances.
