About Paragon treasure chests...

So I have this thing about Pixies, and I been killing Paragon Pixies in hopes to obtain a Paragon treasure chest. With no luck in obtaining one myself, I decided to seek out people that want to sell one for more gold then they are worth. And here comes the sad part...

The response I got back was since Pixies do not drop treasure maps, they will not drop a Paragon treasure chest... I went on the Stratics page on Paragon Creatures and the uoguide page on Paragons... Seems both information about it was true, but... I have seen Bear and Great Hart Paragon treasure chests around. How can they drop a treasure chest and a Pixie can not?

Can anyone confirm that they have a Pixie Paragon treasure chest?

I would really appreciate an answer...

There are two things I really enjoy on UO, collecting special/rare containers and things relating to those stupid Pixies. How great would it be to have a two in one item!

I remember not too long ago someone mentioning certain creatures have a "Tmap Level 0" coded into them. They do not drop a map, because there is no map level 0 but it does allow them to drop a chest. I have never saw a pixie chest in my years of collecting things though, I have saw a blackrock infected pixie chest once though. Maybe try to look for one of those

I really wish they would activate the blackrock infestations again. It was a fun thing collecting those chests.

Are you sure those were Bear and Great Hart chests? I kill all non-good paragons I come across for minor artifact and chocolate ingredient drops, and have never seen those animals give chests. Could the Bear chests be from the Enraged bears in the Twisted Weald champ?

Another possibility might be that some EM had an event where you had other, map carrying, monsters reskinned as common animals.

I honesty don't remember what the Bear or Great Hart treasure chest really said on it... I just remember reading the name "Bear" and "Great Hart" off rows and rows of Paragon chests at someone's house. So I am only assuming it was all Paragon treasure chests... I guess no Pixie Paragon treasure chest for me...

On a different note... Blackrock Infected chests eh? My hopes of a Pixie chest of some sort seems to be more of an achievable goal now! I just wonder if enough people did them on Siege Perilous fo r me to at least get a hold of one for myself...

speaking of rare chests, I think I might have an event-spawned chest around my house somewhere for one of the Ancient Liches of Khaldun, from the 2006 or 2007 EM arc (back when tiny little Lake Austin had the most active & creative EM).

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly the blackrock infected chests had the same rules applying to them as the paragon chests. So if someone has seen a pixie blackrock chest then it should mean that a pixie paragon chest should be possible. Although I have never seen one myself. Would be awesome to have one though...

I have got a paragon chest from a greater mongbat recently, so I guess that might be true since greater mongbat do not drop treasure maps...

dark wisps drop chest.... pretty much all the time.
though they arnt wisp of course, but rather dark.... wisps....

Greater mongbats actually drop plainly drawn treasure maps.

I think I read somewhere when Blackrock Infecting hit years ago that all creatures who became infected would drop a blackrock chest. I have looked around and can not find that info anywhere. My memory could be slipping as that does happen on occasion lol. Anyone else remember?

I do know one of the ones I have in my collection is off a Crystal Lattice Seeker and neither Stratics nor UO Guide have a map on their loot table. *shrugs*
