Now mind you a lot of the community may buy these to up the play of their own accounts and thats ok more revenue..now it wouldnt come equipped with SA so maybe just new accounts or less than 6 months old..try to bring some life..and maybe a guaranteed beta code for UO forever...I don't know something to fill the streets of Sosaria once again

..oh and on another note let's get some cloth engraving tools..or item ID changes for non artifact items or item ID changes for artifacts in the same armor slot (ie: conjurers garb into a shroud..dress..or whatever) only in the UO store..half the community guaranteed would pay 9.99 for a 3-5 charge tool..at least I know I would lol

I actually had someone enter our vent after having visited our website ask about our RP and everything... then tell me they are New and have NEVER played UO. Asked where and what they had to download to play and then said... "OH! This is a pay by the month game?????? I don't want to commit to that." To which I replied "Well to each his own but you figure you take yourself to the movies ONCE in a month and buy a drink and Popcorn and you've spent more than UO, Plus with UO you can play it all month long... whereas a movie lasts one evening." They still declined to play. But I was rather fascinated that not only was someone "outside" UO reading our Website but they seemed interested in RP. So folk are looking for something. Just was pretty neat.

They actually did something like this years ago with the "UO-Gold" edition. It was not a boxed set - just the jewel case and it had the adv character token and a few other newbie-startup things. It was released in July of 2005 and contained all content up to and including Samurai Empire. If I remember right, it was $19.95 or so in cost - but I could be off there.

Think I bought two of those, for some reason. But if you remember right, you got a jewel case and CD off the shelf somewhere. You SAW it. Might be surprised at the impulse buy, if anyone could just wander by it on a shelf somewhere.

Not sure it would work now, with some anyway. After the download, I can see em hitting that nightmare we call account management...gettting lost and just throwing it all away. Or, getting the account set up and then cant get it to accept their CC... and throwing it out. Do another Gold edition, have it come all the way up to and including High Seas. That way they get in on everything, and can see the whole world.

Sheesh, they throw in a xfer code and adv char code, all the vets would buy it too! LOL
