as a returning-from-a-5-year-absence player, I'm a little overwhelmed by how many dyes there are out there now. hair dyes, tokuno dyes, mel dyes, staining dyes...

I have several things I'd like to dye: a deer mask, a broomstick and some leather/studded armor. also, some artifacts. which type of dyes would I use to get, say, a violet courage purple or pure bright white? any suggestions on were to find these dyes or how much they will run me is greatly appreciated.

thanks!

For both cloth and leather armor there are white dye tubs, look around Luna and you will prolly find a shop that has some set to public. As far as artifacts and metal, white or purple natural dyes are probably your cheapest per charge dye if those hues are acceptable to you. Tokuno dyes also have a white and a violet purple but will cost a little more per charge and can also be a little more limiting in what they can be used on.

thanks for the info!

do you know if the violet courage purple you get from tokuno dyes and the rare magenta natural dye is the same color? it appears pretty similar. if so, natural dye seems like the way to go. hopefully it will dye my broomstick and deer mask.

thanks again!

What gets me is that a whole host of items are "like" artifacts but because they don't say "artifact" on them then the tokuno dyes won't dye them. And also annoying is that imbued items can't be dyed with them unless they are "enhanced".... or made from special materials. But often won't allow you to use Tokuno dyes which are like the reward dyes for turn ins.... which is VERY annoying.

good info to know. do you know if the natural dyes (stains) will dye these imbued items? also, if you dye an item (say, a deer mask for example) then imbue it, does it lose it's color?

No, imbuing will not affect the color of an item.
