It takes about 30 minutes and a couple death robes to kill this thing by myself and when it dies like this and you cannot loot it.......

The Stygian Dragon encounter is extremely buggy 
Have you even been teleported into mid air, killed, then unable to move or be resurrected yet? Or found yourself stuck inside the wall over the northern ankh?

A long long time ago in Destard you could cast Telekinesis on the dragon corpses that died in mid-flight and it would drop them to ground. It might work in this case too.

Read plenty of your posts where you run your mouth about how supposedly good you are at everything, but when it comes down to it, you'll never back it up.
So please enlighten the rest of us on how to kill it in less than 30 minutes without dying once.
I did. Also paged a GM, but of course nothing happened there.
I regret to inform you that you're doing grammar wrong.
Paged GM's, Filed Bug Reports on NUMEROUS places in SA that things are WRONG. Either players or monsters or whatever get stuck/can not be reached... Even offered to give the DEV's a TOUR of all the places I was aware of that upset players because either the monster or the player can not be reached or gets stuck... Fell on deaf ears... far as I know 95% of those things still exist to tick off players and make them think the DEVs are lazy/can't program/stink... don't know their own game... don't care you name it they have been accused...
I try to help improve things but I'm not about to go and file a bug report over and over and over to have nothing done about it. Eventually I move on... if I find it irritating enough I quit doing whatever it is... I play to have fun not get all frazzled. And like I've told the DEV's before many folk do move on... Infact quite a few decide that the DEV's aren't doing enough and well.... they move on entirely to another game. Very few come back... sometimes they check in to gloat over how amazing XYZ game is... to which I just say... well that's nice but can you own your own plot of land? Build your own Town? Decide to Run your own Tavern? Can I be a ninja Rabbit? How about a beggar and a theif? Can I sail the ocean blue on a Gargoyle ship built for 2? ..... No? Well then... I'm quite happy where I'm at.

Hey, this might be off topic but do you mind typing your temp skills and stats. I like you template. Do you use that toon to pvp as well. Thank beforehand.

resist 110
Total Skill Points 720
It's probably not an optimal char. For one it's more important to her that the char looks good than is functional. For instance she hates glasses on her chars so even though it would be better to wear the M&S glasses, she likes the dumb "horns" as she calls them. Also would probably be better as an elf, but that's also a no no.
But after being married to a redhead for 16 years, I've learned a happy wife = a happy life

Honestly i didn't feel like changing one of my chars solely to kill the dragon in the shortest time possible. The only reason I'm even messing with it is to try and get one of those Summoner's Kilt. Not even sure if that's the best way.
I thought about redoing her suit and what not and if I did I'm sure I could knock some time off it and make it so I never die. She doesn't even have Honor worked up to Follower level and her suit is something I just threw together 6 months ago that really could be optimized (for instance she's at 42% LMC spread on 6 armor pieces, instead of 40% over 5 pieces).
One thing Phangs_of_Phage set up is missing is Resist Spells which counters the dragon's freeze effect. Trapped bozes don't break it from what I've tried while initially doing it with my Sampire who has 0 resist. My wife only has 90 something resist (once again she doesn't work her chars much) but even at sub GM the freezing effect only lasts about 2-3 seconds.
Haha.... yeah that temper is fun.
Just to share my pain. Here's a list of no no's off the top of my head when it comes to my wife's chars.
No robes of any kind. Only dresses or skirts. She says that robes make her char look fat
No glasses.
No weird hats. Right now all 5 of her chars are either wearing the HH or a kasa.
No mismatched colors of things that cannot be dyed.
No "spikes". As in woodland armor or anything that would show through a dress or skirt.
No dumb looking weapons. I have to figure that one out on a case by case basis.
Before you could dye it, metal armor was not allow at all. Thank god for the metal dye tub.
No elves or gargoyles. All of her chars are human. Something to do with only liking the human hairdoes.
Of course I'm the complete opposite where I'd wear a clown's outfit and a giant "I'm a dumb noob" sign on my back if it increased my stats. So putting together her stuff is a little more smash my head against the wall frustration and yes I've spent hours putting together some awesome suit only to find out some little detail was not to her liking and after hearing about it for 2 days I finally give in and redo it even though it turns out to not be as good as it could have been.
The dragon only does the freeze once. And if you find the you dont need the 300 wep skill mana reduction for certain bosses (i'm pretty sure you dong with slasher) you can sub the 110 swords for 110 resist. I do this sometimes. Also that template will make short work of the reknowned wyvern i've got several pair of tinker legs from it. Anyone else just PM me first so and i'll send them back dont really feel like looking through the whole thread. Also will post up temps on how to solo Mel, chimmer, proxy, the doom gauntlet, and pretty much everything else in a short time just ask.
Not sure if it's on a timer or what, but I've had it done upwards of 5 times over a 20 minute span.

Even if it was fine to post I still wouldn't have. Besides being a poorly written mess and hard to read, the entire thing was arrogant as hell. Telling me about trapped boxes and minimum skill needed for Perfection, etc. Just another annoying know it all who thinks he's god's gift to UO.
Another reason they need to change the base damage of the soul glaive for both pvm and pvp :/.

I think it's because the new dev team isn't quite sure how to work the code from the previous dev teams.
Honestly I don't think any of them really know much of anything about programing or the code... Do we still have a real DEV left that even knows the code? I guess my expectations are too high and I shouldn't expect things to get fixed. But then I know my expectations are too high because I beta tested the SA and I complained about quite a bit of stuff with the housing and was told they weren't focusing on that yet... Well it's been how long since then and just when are they focusing on that???? Because quite a few of the housing issues are STILL there. *sighs*
Well this makes me happy in one way. They weren't focused on that pointless part of the game. I wonder what they were focused on though. Did anyone use mysticism after the release of SA? Oh yeah... EVERYONE did and still does. I wonder why...
Help them balance important things first then they can get to housing and decorations...
