Is it still possible to get the blackrock stew recipe? If it is how do I go about getting it?

yes.
First you need 5k loyalty to the ophidians, which you can get by killing terathans.
(I'm actually gaining that atm simply because I'm collecting for the gargoyle cures. Currently at 3502 loyalty.)
Once you have that you can take the quest.

Ok i got the Recioe scroll for the blackrock stew i gave it to my noob cook (only has 40 cooking) and he gets the message "you dont have the required skill to atempt this item"

Im only looking ot learn the recipe not make the stew, do i need to be high in cooking to learn the recie too?

you can't read any recipes till you have the required skill to make the item, same for all skills recipes.

Are there other locations to kill the Terathans than the Terathan Keep? I have read they also spawn in Ilshenar and other locations, but can not locate them.

Thanks, Katrena

I went to terrakeep and did the same with my Greater Dragon, then started cooking from zero and within 24 hours from starting to kill the terathans i was able to make the stew

i Stoped at 80.5 lastnight, it gave me enough to be able to make the stew at 50.5% chance

Most everyone cooks in their homes. Get a "herb basket", its a old anniversary token item or some such old token item & get a 10% boost in cooking upon clicking it. They must be locked down in your home to use. I keep mine on the floor infront of my oven.

Its been a LONG time since I verified this but if memory serves me, I think all u really need is 92.7?? cooking, click the locked down basket, and ur at GM. Since currently one can not exceed GM status in cooking, the baskets work just fine to top off ur cook w/o having to put in additional time. Talisman will further help decrease ur failure in cooking anything. Good luck sir :)

I just completed the Quest and made some Blackrock Stew. I noticed that the bowl is a light gray and the original Blackrock Stew bowl was a darker shadow iron color. Does anyone know why there is a change in color?

Thanks, Katrena

no idea why, but it changes colour, if you look at yours again you'll find it's darker now I think.

Thanks for the tip on the Herb Basket, i never knew about that. I GMed cooking yesterday anyhow, but its a nice tip for making stuff that needs more than GM for 100% sucsess

I've never been sure how much difference the herb basket makes when you're already GM, as my cook was when this was new.
It's part of the 'Spring Decor Collection' I'm not sure if there's still a way to get it.

The Herb Basket will not raise your skill above 100.

So it's a waste if you are GM.

The Spring Decor Collection token still has them as a choice. There is one more left at the shop I got one from across from Luna's north gate.

Which of the quests listed on Stratics is the one to get the recipe? Many give just the quest name and not what it's for.

Basically, when I took on UOSS we'd missed so many events, with no way I could catch up on them, that I decided to only document permanent content and leave the event content to UOGuide, who had done such a sterling job of it while poor old UOSS was neglected. This quest was one I hadn't expected to become permanent content

Thanks for all of your work Petra. The players will help you figure out and add whats missing.
