Obsidian Statues... Who has obtained one with their character's name?

Hellos all!

So I been doing this quest off and on for a bit now, and I was wondering if the rumors/uoguide is really telling the truth about obtaining one with the character's name on it. It is quite time-consuming and I would hate to keep doing it and find out the rumors are false... I read that obtaining one is anywhere from 1 in 80 to 1 in 1000.

Could someone please confirm that they do have one with their character's name on it and maybe even be so kindly to post a picture of it?

I just do the Highlight deal like you are going to copy and paste it. Works well.


I do not have any with player names on it yet. I can confrim for a 100% fact they do indeed spawn that way, and are VERY VERY rare. Have watched 2 sell at auctions in my 8 years of playing.

By the way.. if you run across the ones listed in the link, I am paying well for them on Atlantic. The last 3 normal ones I need for my collection of them.

Really the font all depends on which colors they use for stratics.

I have seen one of a players name in all my time playing (over 8 yrs). Have pretty much a full collection myself, and had at least that many and MORE again as doubles/triples and yet to get one with my name.

I can read it much better now, I know a friend of mine used to that quest all the time and she never got one with her name but I think I saw one before with a char's name on it. I will go look and try to take a screen shot of it and ask if it was maybe a reward from an event or something.

May be a stupid question but when you buy it can you change the name to your own? Or are you paying 80m for a statue with another players name just because it is rare?

Although I am quite trusting of people, I would still love to see a picture of one... Not because I don't believe you Kylie Kinslayer, but to give me that extra push to keep at it. It is quite time consuming and I do have a lot of things I would rather do then just raun around Sosaria and snap pictures of monsters...

This might be a stupid question but... I wonder if I had all 10 pieces in my bag, put on my best Sunday Luck Suit, and then combined them together while wearing my suit if that will help... I know it sounds kind of stupid, but I have to ask...

my ex-wife who played actually obtained it...IIRC she put about 50-60 together before she got it...The only thing she did was not assemble them until she had all 10 pieces..she was weird in that way....also she got hers back in 2003-2004 timeframe, so I dont know if luck was even in the game at the time...

That is a great question Tjalle! It would be so neat to have a Lady/Lord on it... I assume it is like crafting an item or like the Candle of Love, where what your name states, is what it was presented... I can only hope...

Yes, so don't combine the bits til you have your title. The one I saw was for Lady Della O'Brien (think it was Della lol, been a while, I went back to her museum to try and get a pic for this thread but the house that was always open to the public is now private so couldn't get in )

At least the house still stands although I have not seen the actual 'player' for well over 6 yrs, I seriously expected the house to be nothing but sand when I visited the desert part of Malas where it used to be, so was super surprised it was still standing. It is the ONLY house left in that whole part of malas on Oceania shard. Pity couldn't get in tho as she had some cool stuff in it.
