Can someone help me with posting a picture?

I am trying to upload a picture of a house I am currently working on.. Everytime that I go to upload the file i get the following meassage...

The following error occurred

The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension.

Does anyone know how to fix this or what I am doing wrong?

I think you need to save the original as a .jpg image

I never messed with pictures and such or ever changed them...

Never mind Shelra I actually just figured it out... Thank you for the help!! I get to post and show my Snow Cave project so far.. Not completely done but getting there..
