I was being droll....I honestly just cannot believe that you're getting this worked up over something so minor. Okay okay so +5 to stats isn't minor...but I seriously doubt SERIOUSLY doubt that they are going to leave 99% of the people out of getting it...if you honestly think that Mesanna is THAT cold...is that ...I don't even know...I honestly don't......you know there were only like...12 people doing this event on Origin....maybe 20 I don't know...20 GEARED players...yeah I'm a reporter so what, I'm not supposed to voice my opinions? you think THAT poorly of our team that you'd think they'd ONLY give +5 stats to the people that killed Exodus? SERIOUSLY??? Really think about it.....and chill out a bit, the event is far from over...the Anny is slowly approaching....instead of crying WOLF....(You see how well that worked for that poor little boy) just sit back and WAIT and have a little faith.
I really don't see how this is "that" unfair. Or at least any more so than the conjurer garb. Or the shard transfer shields. You play more, you get better stuff.

Look cry babies. This is ULTIMA ONLINE. We slayed EXEDOUS. This is a MAJOR event in the games history. Notice was given of it far enough in advance, and DUPRE was there. Any Ultima player know that something important is happening and this wasnt just another event. I think its special and should remain so for at least a while. If anyone does not know who Exedous is and Dupre, you dont deserve a +5 scroll.

Better stats mean hitting harder, faster, and so on. A lot of the fights' computing is affected by stats so having +5 over the CAP that other players can have (i.e. 260 versus 255) means a whole lot of advantage in fights.
Considering that a lot of players could not participate to the Event not because they did not want to, but because their REAL LIFE got in the way, my opinion is that it is not fair at all to leave such a meaningfull advantage to those players who could participate to the limited time Event versus those who could not.
I absolutely am convinced that there should be additional ways for other players who could not participate to this Event to obtain this scroll, likewise.......

Devil i love how you could not find time for the event but have time for endless wineing on these boards. C'mon chill out its only +5, 2 HP, bit of dex, or a bit of mana, its not even a big advantage.
IMO, the issue is this was a one-time event that was announced the same day in some cases and the day prior in others. This is not the same as the Halloween event that gave the Conjurer's Grab because that lasted a month. I am disappointed I was unable to attend. I would ask the devs to create another way to get the scroll that is a permanent addition to the game.
Conjurer garb is not a 1-2 hour event, it ran for weeks so everyone could "make" the time to work for the item if they wished. Shard Transfer shield is a reward to paying for an account without interruption for 15 years. Neither cases stated is a valid counter argument to a one event item drop.
Yes, the event might be publicized the event arc but that is all they did just like previous event arc. Since it would not make sense to say "Hey we are going to drop this game changing item so please show up" , event reward details are always a unknown. But Dev has previously stated their policy on event item drops to be switched to only deco items that would not cause game balance issue. The scroll drop is a clear opposite to policy they stated in the past. I doubt people would have an issue had Devjust gone with their "OWN" stated policy and given out another deco item instead.
Even if someone attend the event and get the scroll, what about all the other characters on the account?

This wasnt just another event it was Ultima and UO Lore history. Seeing Dupre and whispers of Exedous was enough to proove that something serious was going to happen.
Ok i give up - you are to smart for me - or better, you just dont get it...
I explain it in short words:
- There should not be such an item limited to a few people attending an event full of lag and client crashes
And with this i end my so called "wineing" here so you can go back and enjoy your scroll...

For some folks, jobs and family still trump Ultima and UO lore history....even Dupre and Exodus.

And i'm sure those jobs and family are more important then crying about a event item. Even people who do get them cant use them more then once and very few chars overall will have the SLIGHTEST stat advantage. If +5 is making you win or loose, your doing something wrong anyway.
As stated by other people, not everyone can attend the event. Real life commitments should take priority to an online game. How can someone "earn" something if no proper chances to get the item are really offered.
Precedence has be set in the past with AOS stats reward when they made it available for everyone. It is frustrating to see that Devs are going to ignore known past issue with releasing item of this nature that prevents access for everyone.
oki, enough. Devil99, it's ok you ridiculing my faith in Mesanna that there will be other ways to get this, but leave the other folk alone.

Look things happen in real life you can make either. This is a virtual world its how it goes. Anyway i'm sure if they made these +5 stats there will be similar type rewards to complain about at another time that you might get and everyone else wont. Theres a chance things like this will be coming up a lot and its nice to be suprised. at least give it some time before you guys whip out the torches and pitchforks.

What community? As always it's about the have's versus the have not's. The have's, of course, don't want to have to give up their precious stat scrolls (or the 100mil from selling them), and the have not's just want to play a fair game for a change.
The event arc has been building for months now and we can't even get a week's notice for a major turning point in the story? And Atlantic, the busiest shard, doesn't even get 24 hours notice about the event? I can certainly see why some players are unhappy. If the stat scroll does indeed increase the cap from 255 to 260, I hope it will be available in the future another way. If it isn't, then the devs are even more out of touch with the players than I ever imagined.

Currently, we know so little about UO's future, many people will be "surprised" if it is still running a year or two from now.
