Good luck on the sale - I'd be interested to know how such a large transaction can be undertaken? Surely it'll take a couple of days just to tfr the checks over to you! :) (and if I had the cash I'd do it hehe)

Another collector quitting, sad day. I actually thought you would stay around for longer than most. I see prices must have dropped a bit, or just market is kindda slow. I remember checking the Castle with items and value at that time I did it was 6-8b and that was without seeing checks or anything else in boxes other than rares, event items and Set items. But this also included the xmas stuff which might be the best thing in the collection if your already a collector.

I'm still confused about you selling it all for gold when we are then also buying gold. So actually we buy 1b in gold for 1b? or we get discount? :)

Good luck with the sales. If I still was playing I would have considered it.

Spoontoes. you use a broker and vendors. each vendor can hold 2b you can buy from the vendors yourself by buying a bod priced at any price in a bod book - to fill up with gold. Then you do the same on sellers vendor. its not hard to move 1b. I moved 24b in 1 hour. The only problem is if you need to shard transfer :)

When I bought the castle immediately next door, for 380m, we did the vendor transfer that Europa Trader mentioned. It only works though if you can trust the person involved, as anything above 125m can't be automatically charged to a vendor, as you can't have more gold than that in a bank at once. And so you run the risk that they can just run off with what you've paid before the final amount, or even all of it if you keep purchasing. Fortunately the person I traded with was known to a lot of brokers and people around the game, so I could check his character references... if you aren't sure, consider using a broker, but with rates of 10-15% of the total cost as a fee, that would have been 38 - 50m on top of the cost for me. Ouch!

Ahhhhh never heard of the vendor thing - that's a cool way to do it, very clever :)

Most brokers do have a max fee. like 15m or so depending on the broker so they will not charge so much as expected, but fees also is something that some of them stopped doing some time ago.
